I have a Dell Inspiron M5030 and when I first turn my computer on what used to be black is now red. When I go online what used to be white is turquoise. My computer is 1 1/2 years old and had new motherboard. What is wrong and is there anything I can do about it?

It depends upon the video driver.
Just reinstall the video driver and after that install a software K-Lite Codec , you can find this software latest version direct from google. It would resolve this video issue of your dell inspiron M5030 laptop.

ok jess it sounds also like it might be a heat problem also. does your fan make loud nosies if so you may need a new fan for your laptop. try just closing your laptop for a while when this starts to happen or use your laptop in cold areas like a huge fridge haah jk no but if you notice your laptop getting hot just give it a break for about 20-30 mins.

SOURCE: My Dell Inspiron m5030 won't turn on. It was

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->System Restore

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

Just try this and leave a feedback for next steps.

M5030 won't start,just beeps 7 times.

This is a motherboard and power supply issue - you most likely cannot fix it yourself. I have attached a link where someone got their system back up temporarily, but it won't last. You need to replace the motherboard ASAP.

I have a new dell inspiron m5030 but when i turn it on this day i got a message "Warning:The system unable to charge the battery. please help me with my problem. thank you

There is a BIOS update available from Dell that is supposed to cure this problem.

Bios updates can be found @:

http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?s=dhs&c=us&l=en&cs=19&k=Dell+Inspiron+M5030&cat=sup&x=0&y=0

--------

I solved the problem by using up my battery until the the screen would black out. Afterwards, I rebooted it (again without using AC adaptor) and the system warned me of low battery and to press F1. After pressing F1 I plugged the adaptor back and tried rebooting. The problem was solved
