Short battery life

There are several options to save battery life. You could set the brightness lower, which will help conserve battery life. Others would be: turn off wifi when not in use, turn off Bluetooth when not using it, and limit the number of active apps running in the background.

Then again, your battery may just need to be replaced.

How to save battery power on kyocera hydro

Cell phones are drained by running background apps, LCD brightness etc. Here are a few tips to help you. Most importantly, batteries do loose their strength (even when fully charged). I would possibly replace the battery every 2-3 years with a name brand battery, not a generic. Also keep in mind, when your phone is charged at 100%..unplug it. Tips to save battery life To save and extend battery life, follow these steps:

Lower screen brightness and timeout duration
  1. From any home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'DEVICE,' and then tap Battery.
  4. Tap Brightness.
  5. Touch and slide the Brightness slider left to decrease the brightness setting.
  6. Tap OK.
  7. Tap Screen timeout.
  8. Select one of the following options:
  9. 15 seconds
  10. 30 seconds

Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
  1. From any home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Tethering & Networks.
  4. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  5. Clear the Mobile HotSpot check box.
  6. Tap the Back key.
  7. Tap the Back key again to return to the 'Settings' menu.
  8. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' and then tap Location access.
  9. Clear the GPS satellites check box.
  10. Touch the Status bar and slide it down.
  11. Tap Wi-Fi to turn off.
  12. Tap Bluetoothto turn off.

Change application sync settings
  1. From any Home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'PERSONAL,' and then tap Accounts & sync.
  4. Clear the Auto-sync data check box.
  5. To reduce sync settings for individual applications, select the desired application.

Turn off background data
  1. From any Home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Mobile data.
  4. Tap the Menu key.
  5. Select the Restrict background data check box.

Minimize use of third party applications
  1. From any Home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'DEVICE,' and then tap Apps.
  4. Select the application you want to edit.
  5. Tap Disable to turn off the application.
Note: You can tap Uninstall instead to completely remove the application.

Toggle from 4G to 2G
  1. From any Home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Tethering & Networks.
  4. Under 'NETWORK SETTINGS,' tap Mobile networks.
  5. Select or clear the Use only 2G networks check box.

Update to the latest software
  1. From any Home screen, tap the All Appsall+apps.pngicon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to 'SYSTEM,' and then tap About phone.
  4. Tap System updates.
  5. Tap Check now.
  6. Follow any additional prompts.

Set device to sleep when unused
  1. Press and then quickly release the Power key to set the screen to sleep mode.
  2. To activate the screen, press and then quickly release the Power key again.

Slow slow drain battery very fast

If I'm understanding your question you are losing your battery quickly. Go to the Market and download an app killer. All the apps you run take an amazing amount of battery. The app killer is just a quick pulldown menu thats lets you select which apps you want to turn off all on one convenient menu. The moment I did it I noticed a huge savings on my battery. Another easy fix to help extend battery life is to turn down the brightness level on your screen to the lowest level you can tolerate. Should help out a lot by doing both of those things.

Display brightness

Ok on your keyboard there should be some way to adjust the brightness just plug in the laptop and adjust it to what you want then unplug the laptop and adjust it to what you want and it should keep that setting. if that does not work you can check the bios settings some laptop bios' have a brightness option.

Compaq Presario C700 Notebook Backlight only works on Battery Mode

First of all, let me inform you that there will be different brightness settings when the Notebook is running with Battery and Power Adapter.
I recommend you to try increasing the Brightness when the Power Adapter is connected to the Notebook by following the steps below :
Connect the Power Adapter to the Notebook and turn on the Notebook.
Now, hold the FN Key which can be found at the left bottom of the keyboard next to the Ctrl key and press the F8 button to increase the Brightness.
This should increase the Brightness of the LCD. Increase the Brightness to your comfirtable level and you are done.
Now, if you disconnect the Power Adapter, the display will appear either darker or brighter as per the previous settings with the Battery.
This is to save battery power like if the Brightness settings are same for both the situations like when the Notebook is connected with the Battery and the power adapter, battery will drain up fast.
So, if you can have different brightness settings for when the Notebook is running with Battery and Power Adapter, it is possible to maintain battery with low brightness.
Hope this helps.....

Only get 96 hours on stand by not up to 400 as advertised on sonyericssin z310i

Keep your screen brightness on its lowest possible setting, and take full advantage of the other power saving features (auto screen time out, etc) and you should notice a significant hike in standby time.

Screen brightness keeps going down.

its because it has gone into power saving mode, you need to go into the power/battery settings and set the brightness at 100% and then choose that setting as default.
