Lenovo Ideapad problem

What happens is, when I start doing anything that requires the computer to work hard and use the GPU to a larger extent, the power button and battery button start flashing orange and while the laptop is plugged into an outlet it is not charging. I tried a new battery, but this didn't resolve anything. Any suggestions?

First suggestion is to get a can of compressed air and while the Idea pad is turned off, blow out all the dust that has collected inside the computer. The GPU may not be getting enough cooling.

Blue screen error plus blank start up screens but the start up sound can be heard.

Have you changed any BIOS settings? I would open your BIOS menu and make sure it is set to "AHCI"

IdeaPad S10e Netbook: CANT OPEN LENOVO ONE KEY RECOVERY UPON START...

Make sure you did it correctly. Computer should be OFF when doing the one key recovery. Turn off the computer then press the small button right beside the power button. Your computer should automatically turned on and you will go straight to one key recovery software. If this will not happen, then the one key recovery is destroyed. We need to re-image your Harddrive to have that one key recovery software back to you computer. You may call Lenovo technical support department for further assistance on how you are going to send your laptop to our depot department.

New ideapad, doesn't have power

Based on your description of the issues you may be having a DC jack issue. I would suggest to insert the ac adapter and wiggle it around see if there any indicator of it try to charge the laptop. But in most cases that a laptop does not power on its due to the jack.

The Lenovo Y430 occasionally gets a blue screen. OS is Windows XP. The computer is fairly new. Could this be a software problem or a hardware issue? Would an upgrade to Vista solve the problem?

you are right but you can try this go to start - run type msconfig press enter.disable all start up items except synaptics and wireless if you do see any.reboot your computer.check if it happens.if it does then it`s hard ware problem.could be RAM,graphics card or any other accessory attached to mother board.take care.
