Sony vaio built in motion eye camera won't stay working
I have a sony vaio with a built in motion eye camera. it's only 2 months old, yet three times now i've started getting messages that a "USB device is not recognized" in a pop up balloon. once i start getting this, my camera is nowhere to be found. the computer won't even list imaging devices. i've tried usb patches recommended by sony online chat, but the only time i've been able to fix it is when i wiped the computer by resetting to factory settings. obviously, i can't keep doing that! thanks

Did u install any other programs anfter your vista instalation? try to uninstall them one by one, My guess is that one of the programs "kidnaped" you camera. By uninstaling one by one you can easy find out witch one it is. After uninstalling one program test your camera. If it works again you that program is the problem.
Windows Vista is not the greatest at working on proprietary machines with drivers intended for XP. Can you get a driver from SONY for the motion eye that supports VISTA? I had Vista on my new machine (Dell) for all of 3 minutes before I uninstalled it and put a brand new copy of XP on. It's stable -- and works. Vista is squirrelly.
