Ts290 Pro joystick not working with Wondows XP game

Hi, My husband recently bought a TS290 Pro Joystick. I instaled it for him and according to the tests, everything works. He opened a PacMan game that's part of his Windows XP, but it won't work with the game. This is the first joystick he's owned and neither one of us knows anything about them. Can you give me some idea of why this is happening? Iw anted to get him some more games, but I hate to do it until we find out what's causing this problem. Thank you so much for any help. Thanks, the problem with the joystick is solved. NOw we realize there is a more involved problem which may be the drive on the pc. We put a game in my pc, and it began installing right away, but when we put it in his, nothing happened. Wouldn;t you think this is a problem wiht the CD/DVD drive? He can't use his Windows Media, keeps getting cannot play messages, he can use his CyberLink player, SOMETIMES, and other times nothing.

Gidday , It is probably not compatible with Pacman. I suggest trying it with a flight sim or some racing game to see if indeed it is working . But if you have installed it properly and it works in the calibration stage it should work in racing, flightsim, ect.

The logitech site states that the joystick works with Mac OS 9 or later.

As the system requirements do not state any hard drive space is required for a Mac it will probably install drivers required automatically.

If the product does not work contact Logitech through the support option

Make sure you get the latest drivers for your soundcard. The drivers will include the software for the joystick port so its recognized properly by windows. Also you may want to go to the support page for your soundcard to see if any settings would need to be changed as well.

I recently purchased logitec extreme 3d pro joystick and a user manual did not come with it. How do I get one?

Did you purchase it open-box or second-hand? If so, you shouldn't be surprised at the lack of a manual. If you bought it new, it may not have come with one.

I personally have one of these joysticks, but I bought it so long ago that I can't remember if it came with a manual or not.

Either way, there really isn't much need for a manual for this joystick. It doesn't have any very advanced features that would require a manual. It's very simple to use:

  1. Plug it in to an open USB port on your computer.
  2. It should be automatically detected by your operating system. If not, you may have a defective joystick or a defective USB port. Try the joystick in another USB port. If the problem persists, check Logitech's website.
  3. In Windows, click Start->Control Panel->Game Controllers. You should see the joystick listed. Select it and click Properties.
  4. It should open a new window to the "Test" tab, where you can make sure all the buttons work. I suggest you click on the "Settings" tab at the top left.
  5. Click "Calibrate..." and follow the prompts. It'll ask you to keep the joystick centered and press a button on the joystick (use one of the side buttons such as 11 or 12 so that you don't inadvertently move the joystick from center).
  6. Then it'll ask you to move the joystick in complete circles. Do this several times and advance to the next step.
  7. It'll ask you to move the throttle slider up and down. Do this several times and advance to the next step.
  8. It'll ask you to set the "Z-rotation," which is the left/right twist of the handle. Do this several times.
  9. It'll ask you to center it and press a button. See step 5 above.
Now the joystick should be calibrated and ready for use. If you have multiple game controllers, you may want to click the "Advanced" tab back in the Game Controllers window and make sure the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is selected as the preferred device.

Now start whatever game you want to use it with. You'll probably have to configure what you want the buttons on your joystick to do within the game; follow the instructions that came with the game.

Pretty simple, and like I said, there are no advanced macro functions or anything like that for this joystick.

Installed joystick extreme 3d pro wiil not work

Sometimes on those games, if you used a mouse originally, they do not auto-detect that ur using a joystick now - go into the options tell the game ur using a joystick and also there you may be able to set custom control features (what button does what).
Please let us know how it went.

Need a port for my MS force feedback pro

Just get yourself a new soundcard with a gameport on board. Disable your MoBO soundcard if you have one and instal the new one. Creative is probably the safest option. Update the drivers and off you go. Don't forget to add the joystick, the drivers are supplied in XP.
