Hi when ever i try to graph mroe than one equation, it will not let me select more than on in the "y=" part on the side next to the "Y sub1" "Ysub2" etc, there is an arrow/triangle thing, and when i enter something in the space, it turns into an arrow with another line infront of it--it goes from a filled in ">" to a filled in ">|" on my friends calculator, it has a slash "\ " instead how to i change it back to the slash, because i believe that i my problem thank you!!

The symbol on the left of the Ysub1,2,etc. determines what type of graph it is. move the cursor to the left of Ysub1,2,etc. and hit enter

Hi there,

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

Add a graph .

In Documents Toolbox, select 3: Graph/Entry Edit

Unfold the menu and select Equation (not function). Enter your equation.

For the 3D part, I am afraid you will have to read the manual.

Error 07 Syntax

Means you made a typing error while entering the equation. Using the minus sign instead of the negation sign (change sign) (-), can produce a syntax error. Maybe you need to explicitly type the multiplication sign

y= (-) 1.5*x +3

Try entering it as 3 - 1.5*x

The Transfrm application for dynamic geometry is probably active in memory. You must purge it from RAM

- Press APPS
- Scroll Up or Down (Up is faster) to find Transfm.
- Select it and press ENTER
- Press the number corresponding to the option Uninstall.
- Once the APP is kicked out of memory you will be able to draw multiple functions.

This is simple... Back up all RAM, (press second+, then 2, then 1, press enter to back up something if backed up it will have a star by it) Then clear your RAM (pull out your batteries while the calc is still on or press second+, then 7, then 1)

Hope this helps!

I am not quite sure what you are asking...

(1) if asking for graphing y= -2/3x+2, then press [diamond] [F1: Y=] type in .2/3x +2, see graph by [diamond][graph]

(2) if asking for graphing y= -2/3x+a, where a=3x, then first archive a=3x in Home screen by [home], type 3x [sto] a, then go back to y= menu, and type -2/3x+a in Y1

(3) if asking for graphing an equation that is dependent on 2 variables at the same time, use x-y-z axis (aka, change mode to graphing 3-D by [mode]graph [5:3D]) then enter desired equation in y= menu using Z function in terms of x and y aka z(x,y)= ...)

The first solution will allow you to watch your
calculator graph two equations simultaneously rather than finishing one
before graphing the next; it won't solve the problem of having the
calculator unselect one equation when you select a second. To fix
that problem, try the following:

In order to select additional graphs, the Transformation Graphing App will need to be uninstalled from the TI-83 Plus Family and TI-84 Plus Family. Uninstalling the App does not erase it from the calculator, it disables it from interfering with the normal graphing modes. Below are the steps to successfully uninstall the App.

On the TI-84 there is an application called Transfrm. When active it prevents you from graphing multiple functions at the same time. To fix this, select Transfrm fom the APPS menu (it was at the bottom of mine) and select 1:Uninstall. That should fix the issue

it was to go to APPS and run the program INEQUALZ

it took me a couple of tries, but eventually it ended up working

i dont remember exactly how it worked when i ran it, but just keep going back to that if u still can't graph

how do i insert a slash on my ti 84?
