The only difference I see between the chip you are trying to use and the chip that is specified for that motherboard are the voltages. That Samsung chip has a voltage of 2.6v and the specs recommend 2.5v - generally this shouldn't matter but some boards are more sensitive than others.

You might want to try a PC2100 or PC2700 chip in the board to see if it will post for you also...

What type of ram memory do you have in the board? If you can provide a part number off the chip(s) I can do a quick search to see if it's compatible with the board.

It sounds as if you have done your troubleshooting on the problem correctly so far though, as well as the CMOS reset, which I would have recommended had you not already done it...

I think there is a problem with your system's hardware.. check whether your MOBO or your processor.. computers that doesn't startup and has no beep has defective or burned CPU or motherboard

Foxconn 661FXME - PC661M04-G-6L & Intel pentium 4 prescott 511 2.80 ghz

Hello you can download a manual from here:

http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=Motherboard&U=en-us0000108&Language=en-us

But BE CAREFULL when you change the cpu.
And remember to add some cooling paste.

Here is some info about the cpu:

http://ark.intel.com/products/27452/Intel-Pentium-4-Processor-511-1M-Cache-2_80-GHz-533-MHz-FSB

You will get better performance with a new mainboard/cpu
as this cpu only has one core.

Good luck

What type of dual core processor can I use for my dc7600?

The motherboard for the dc7600 has an Intel LGA775 processor socket. However, not all LGA775 processors are compatible with the motherboard. For the small form factor, the following CPUs are supported: Intel Celeron D Processors:
Intel Celeron D 331 Processor (2.66-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Celeron D 336 Processor (2.80-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Celeron D 346 Processor (3.06-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium 4 Processors with HT Technology:
Intel Pentium 4 521 Processor (2.8-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB) , Intel Pentium 4 524 Processor (3.06-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Pentium 4 541 Processor (3.2-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 620 Processor (2.8-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 630 Processor (3.0-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 631 Processor (3.0-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 640 Processor (3.2-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 641 Processor (3.2-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 650 Processor (3.4-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 651 Processor (3.4-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 661 Processor (3.6-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB) or
Intel Pentium D Dual Core Processors:
Intel Pentium D 805 Dual Core Processor (2.66-GHz, 2x1MB L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 820 Dual Core Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x1MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 915 Dual Core Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 925 Dual Core Processor (3.0-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 930 Dual Core Processor (3.0-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 940 Dual Core Processor (3.2-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 945 Dual Core Processor (3.4-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 950 Dual Core Processor (3.4-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Unfortunately, these are old processors and I don't see any available new. Newegg.com lists a couple available as refurbished. You may be better off getting a new computer with either a Intel I3 or current AMD processor.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Can some one please let me know the name of the motherboard supporting Pentium 4 1.5 Ghz processor as well as Intel Core duo series of processors. Thanks, Ajay

The chips to which you refer are incompatible with respect to the socket used for each as well as the fact that Core duo and Pentium 4 1.5 GHz chips are from separate generations, the latter having been obsolescent since 2003. Therefore, there is no single motherboard that supports both, and the Pentium 4, Socket 478 boards can be obtained from various aftermarket sources.

Here is an example of the kind of board you need for your Pentium 4.
