Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
The washer will spin and drain fine. Bu tonce the knob is pulled to fill (start wash cycle),it'll spit out a little water then trip out. Something in the selector dial assy? Plus, is there an easy way to get to the dial panel wires without taking the whole back of the washer off?
To get into the console, first remove (unsnap) the front console end caps (just the front coverings). After you remove these, you will see 2 screws on either side at the lower edges. Remove these two screws, then pull the console slightly towards you to unclip the console. Then rotate the console up and over the back. It has hinges, so should stay up while working on it. Water problem sounds like you have an issue possibly with pressure or mixing valve. Remove the water inlet lines, and be sure the screens are not clogged. Does the water switch change temp and if it does does the pressure change? Could be a faulty mixing valve (the part that the hoses hook to). It could very well be that switch as well. The water valve is probably the least expensive of the parts, as those switches get a little expensive. Let me know how it turns out. Jim
