MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB. Also do you have a location number?

After TV warms up picture gets jumpy, squiggly. Can anyone help.

redwolf3269,

I sorry to say but your TV is on its way out. The issue is that it will be the same price to buy a new 42 inch LCD that it will to repair the problem.

The picture problem is a result of either or both the convergence or pincushion boards going bad. Your model will run around $450 to repair. However if you are good with soldering, there are kits sold online for you to repair the convergence board yourself. These kits work as well as what any tech will do but just as the tech will say, the repair is as is and the problem could return in a short amount of time. The pincushion board is not repairable. Below is a link to a site that sells the repair kits.

If I was able to help please rate this answer, thanks.

Moderate pincushion upon turn on of Toshiba 20AF41, and after several minutes the pincushion slowly is corrected and the screen is normal. It is a frustating intermittent since there is only a very few...

That sounds like either a capacitor, usually known as the S correction capacitor or a dry joint on the convergeance board. A can of freezer will help you locate the fault.
Hope that helps.

I need to find the pincushion circuit on my RCA F32632SB TV to check a problem with the TV displaying an hour glass picture. Where can I find a picture of this or a manual to guide me to the circuit?

The pincushion it intimately related to the horizontal circuits, the electron beam must travel farther to reach the corners of the crt and it does to the middle and so without pincushion circuits the raster would be bowed in on the sides on crts 27 inches are larger.Pincushion corrections straightens the raster by modulating the horizontal yoke current at a vertical rate.In an RCA tv the pincushion circuits are usually numbered 4800and the pin amp will probably be numbered 4801,its drive transistor should be Q4802,R4802 will be the width control, and R4805 the e/w pin amplitude. its inputs from the vertical should be Q4801 (subtractor) Q4803 (buffer) you should have a parabola waveform at 4801,yoke current can be modulated here without effecting high voltage.when Q4802 conducts voltage should decrease across Q4801 and the voltage drop across the yoke increases. The east west pin amp control 4805 controls how much of the vertical parabola is input to U4801 to compensate for changes in width caused by variations in beam current.By varying the e/w control resistor you can know if the circuit fault is in the input or output,if the picture varies in size the fault is in the input to U4801,if it does not vary check the output or U4801......hope that helps

Onkyo TX-SR 605 shuts of when i connect left front speaker

when i connect left front speaker it's shuts down .
That is probably due to protection caused by either
DC or over current. This means your troubleshooting is not complete.
Preform these steps.
Download SR605 service manual.
(a)unplug the amp.
(b)Connect left speaker (c)remove the vertically installed pre-amp board.
See this:
How to do?
1.Unplug the amp.
2.Remove the metal cover.
3.You will see a long vertically installed pre-amp board mounted next to those large power transistors fixed by 12 screws on a large aluminium heat sink.
4.Remove this long vertically installed board mounted by 2 screws.
5.With 2 screws removed, just pulling this board out and hold it with one hand.
(d)Plug the amp and switch it on.
(e)If your amp stays ON forever, the problem is from this long board.
(f)If switch off at once, the problem is from power amp board.
Try the above- mentioned steps to confirm DC or over-
current in left channel.
(g)For DC protection, replace ALL components on left channel of the vertical board.
(h)For over-curremt protection, replace ALL components on left channel.

Replacing ALL components on a faulty channel do not cost you too much.

White dots/green lines

The problem could be in vertical blanking or video processor circuit. Also redish vertical lines may be from external RF or magnetic interference. Move set to new location away from appliances and speakers

You will need to find the model number of your board to determine the processor socket type. When you know the socket type then the mobo you need will more than likely be a mini atx board, but when you find the model and search google it will tell you the 'Form Factor Type'.
