I have a JTP18 that every winter stops working and displays F7 which is a failure of the control panel. I paid and had it replace at over 500$ and it did it again. GE is producing inferior product in my opinion. I am going to replace all of the GE products. Is there anywhere you can lookup if appliance have complaints or not?

I am having same problem. The digital screen is scrambled but unable to clear screen. This happened after a thunderstorm and wondered if digital computer screen took a power surge. I can use the range top. Please advise.

I have the same issue...the entire digital panel is on, but scrambled. Unable to use any of the controls from this panel, but can use the stove top. I can't seem to find this issue anywhere on the web. HELP!

Also the digital control is in need of replacement to be able to control the oven. This control could also cause a malfunction if not replaced. It did not fall on all complaints listed, but combined the 2 problems could be related to the recal by damage to the electronics listed in the recall. Yet may solve the problems and complaints that people have. I'm not trying to cause conflicts with GE but am interested in the customer

No, the parts aren't the same. The W2BB model has this code for that same part WB27T10283, while the A2BB model has this code for that part WB27T10292. The parts Look exactly the same in the diagrams, however in my past I have discovered the hard way that connectors and things in the circuitry are often different even if they fit. They're pretty pricey too 250 bucks or so...good luck!

We are getting an f5 code on our ge oven when we try to bake or clean.

F5 error code means the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) is faulty and requires replacement.

To solve it just replace ERC.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a GE oven, model #JTP15W0W2W, serial #SS605844R that the bottom heating element does not work and the screen flashes F2. I contacted GE and they recommended I change out the bottom heating element,...

Ge should know their own codes. F2 for GE means oven control senses overheat over 600 degrees
Go here for code desciption . You should be able to fix youself

The controls aren't working. the digital display

Turn off the circuit breaker that controls the oven.
Wait for a minute and then turn the breaker back on.
If the display comes back, reset the clock.
If it doedn't come back, and is still scrambled, you will need to call a service tech.

Double oven. Top is digital. It has started

You have a stuck keypad or a bad electronic oven control. Try pressing all buttons at random several times each to unstick a faulty pad. If that does not work the EOC must be replaced.

Oven will not come on. Display screen flashes F2.

The error code means that bad relay on control board.
It could also mean that sensor is not making proper
connection with the board.

F1 error/touch panel not working on GE Monogram Dual Oven

Usually, the F1 means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be canceled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

I recommend a service call for this repair.

Digital screen goes off oven will not work stove top is working fine

The "digital screen" is connected to the electronic control board which controls the oven (the surface elements on the stove top will not be affected by this problem). The "flickering on and off" could be any connection that feeds the electrical supply of the control board. Like something in the wiring harness that feeds the relay board, or the wiring harness that goes from the relay board to the electronic control board. It could also be the relay board or the electronic control board themselves. To isolate the problem you would need to check electrical supply to each board at the time of the "problem" when the "digital screen goes completely off." This would tell you where you "have" the voltage and where the voltage supply is lost. If it is a loose or burned wiring harness replace the harness or individual wire causing the problem if it turns out that it is the relay control board or electronic control board replace them. The relay control boards are typically around $75.00 and the electronic control board $150.00 and up. Might be cheaper to purchase another used oven or bite the bullet and buy a new range.
