If you mean that you NEED ONE and don't have one and can't make one, then look for one ONLINE, by typing exactly what you wrote into GOOGLE: recovery cd for dell dimension 3000 Actually, it would be your DOS, whether WIN XP, VISTA or WIN 7 that you want. Look for those, whichever operating system you're using, and someone will have the solution, without having to pay.
If you want the quickest way, then I think you can take a try this password recovery software, a program which helps to reset Windows Administrator login password easily. Fully compatible with Windows 7, Vista and XP etc operation system, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit. Your DELL Dimemsion is supported. Good luck!
if you have not reinstalled operating system at any point of time there is a way to bring it back to factory settings , however this will wipe off complete data from the system , so use it with complete precaution,
1. restart the computer .
2. as soon as you see dell logo press ctrl + f11
3. it will take you to recovery options choose dell pc restore.
4. follow on screen instructions.
if this dosent work then you will have to install operating system manually. you can do it from the operating system disk send by dell along with the system.
You need the C521 recovery disk, from Dell. Set the BIOS to boot from CD and start the system.
If it gives you the option of "Complete Reinstall" or "Repair", choose Complete Reinstall.
If it does not, or if it does not work - i.e., it always reads the disk and tries to maintain as much data as it can, you need to first wipe out the hard drive; there are many "Disk Wipe" utilities out there. I'd suggest using a boot disk such as DBAN (www.dban.org).
First, you need to find the original installation disks that came with your computer. There's a Dell System Recovery disk that will wipe your computer and reinstall everything as if it had just come from the factory. Insert the Recovery CD, restart your computer, and press F11 or F12 to access the boot menu. When you get the boot menu, select the CD/DVD ROM drive as your boot device. This will lead you through the re-install process.
get a computer that is not dell, dell will over charge you for repairs and alot of the parts are not interchangeable so they are hard and costly to repair, if i where you id find a Compaq or Hp anything but dell rilly, then just take the hard drive from the dell and put it as slave in to the new machine, then you have a new computer with all your old documents that is reliable and easy to fix
You can use your recovery disk to start your PC,in an emergency then use recovery CD to repair your operating system,or completely install windows (all personal info.and files will be lost). but if your computer starts up Dell has the tools you need to get you up a running. I included a link to Dell web page that will give the info. you asked for. Larry
I had to reinstall XP like 6 months ago, on a dimensions 3000.just reinstall the drivers. here i think this is all of the drivers. just start "Dell Driver Reset Tool.EXE" and run "Sownd driver for 3000.EXE" driver for vga "Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller.exe" and the Ethernet driver "Intel PRO100 VE Network Connection.exe" Click Here for a zip of all the drivers.
