Question about Dryers
My magtag electric dryer: Model LDE9304ACE is not getting hot. The plug in cord burned from the base of the plug where the metal prongs meet the base of the plug. I replaced the plug in cord and now m dryer works, but it is not getting hot. It is also no moving through thr cycle whe the knob is turned. The knob doesnt move through any cycle, even if i change which cycle it is on.
It sounds like the element shorted out and caused more damage to the unit. Remove and check the heating elment, thermal fuse (located near element), and timer. The timer will be hard to test if you don't have a meter. I would suggest that you check the element first. This is probably your main problem.
