Camera takin photo with white lines with reddish tint

Ive had this camera for a few years and its been working fine up until now. wheneva i take a picture, the result ends up as mass amounts of tiny white lines taking up most of the screen with only small bits of the actual photo being shown, however this does not occur with the video mode. it also gives a reddish tint. i think this is the same problem as some of the others but im not sure, any1 got any idea?!??!
thnx saty

My pictures have a reddish tint to them

If your pictures that have the reddish tint are taken indoors, the tint is likely caused by the lighting. You can set up a 'white balance" adjustment to fix that.

MY CAMERA GIVES A REDDISH TINT TO THE PICTURES

It looks like you're shooting indoors, with incandescent light. Your camera appears to be set for "daylight" white balance. It may have a setting for "incandescent", or may allow you to adjust the "white balance". If you wander through the camera's menu, there should be a setting for white balance.
You can also adjust the color balance in your computer after you've taken the pictures. Many editing programs exist.

33 mm camera photos develop with pinkish green overtone

Your film may have gotten hot or has passed the expiration date. If the tint is splotchy, there could be a light leak, either in the camera or the film cassette after you take it out of the camera. If all your photos were taken indoors under incandescent light, they will also be tinted reddish.

Reddish cast in photos, white objects look pink.

Hello dcmassey, the cause of the problem can be CCD imager. So, the best solution is to claim for Sony recall. If there is some other problem ask for the price estimate. Please contact the nearest Authorized Sony Service. Best regards, Arpi
