Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor
I have a Proview PL716s monitor and it now powers up and displays a proper image for about a second and then goes to blank. The power LED remains a solid green. I have confirmed that the computer is putting a steady signal out. Any thoughts?
I have the same problem, i just bought it from the flea market try pressing the menu/enter button it worked for me.

Sometimes,it might due to low voltage supply from the main source.Perhaps, power cable could cause this.

I opend up the monitor and found that some of the capacitors on the power circuit are bulging. I'm pretty sure that is the problem. I just ordered substitute capacitors and will replace the broken ones with them when they arrive. specs for equivalent capacitor: 470uF 25V 105C

Bad Inverter. Or a surface mount component on the inverter. Either way it needs to be trouble shot down to the component level or replace the inverter board.
