The machine won't print the Number 9, the letters O and L and the period. The keys that won't work are in a line and makes me think that it might be a cable problem or a keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- That was indeed the culprit. I lifted the rear part of the keyboard up and the ribbon connector between the keyboard and the control board was partially pulled out of the socket. Also the two larger ribbon cables that are also connected between the KB and control board were really tarnished. I cleaned all of the connector ends with an eraser and reconnected them and all was good. Thanks for the help.
Keyboard connectors are not fully seated in main board or you need to replace the keyboard. You can send your board in for rebuilding for a cost of about $75.00.

I have an IBM Executive Model C typewriter that will not run. I plug it in and turn it on and nothing happens. I know it has power because I can feel the heat coming from the machinery.
