Patton fan motor

Hello, I need to replace the motor in my 14" Patton Fan, Model A040882411. It had a 25 year warranty, which has not expired, but it seems the company has expired. Help! I love this fan. Thanks, mba53

Same issue. "Patton" is no long around. They have sold the company to some company that does thier production in China (go figure). McMillan Electric Motor company in Wisconsin was the motor mfg. The 14" fan is a 4 pole motor. My motor model # is F-0408B3147. They are a Shaded Four-Pole 1/31 hp, 3 speed, 1500 rpm motors. You can call them at (715)698-7119. Im gonna do my best to replace my motor with a U.S. MADE MOTOR, period. I dont care if it cost me 2x's as much. I'm done buying stuff from China, it's destroying our country. It still works, the 800 number that is. I called and told them I purchased the fan in 2007 and gave them the SN and she told me UPS would deliver a new fan since it is under a 10 year warranty. I will get a shipping label (prepaid) to return the old fan.

I called the customer service number listed above, 1-800-323-9519. It is the correct number for the customer service line even though it now says "Crock Pot", which I think is Rival. They were AMAZING! I have 2 Patton U2 20 fans which I bought 10 years ago or so. One of them makes a screeching sound like the bearing went out in the motor. They asked me a few questions about and told me the fan has a 15 year warranty and they are sending me a new one (not the same brand as Patton evidently doesn't exist, but whatever the current version of this fan is). Are you kidding me!?!? The customer service was again, AMAZING.

Where do i find a replacement motor for my patton model u-2-1887 fan? 120v/60hz/270w/2.6 amps. or where would i get the motor rebuilt?

Before you replace it, try oiling it -- look at the little oil hole on the back of the motor housing. Or try taking it apart and cleaning it, then oiling.

Did it work before, but gradually slowed down and then refused to start? See other threads on this topic for that fan model.

Any idea where I can get replacement metal fan blades for a Patton floor fan?

I'm not all up on Patton Model#s, but this is an older unit, correct? You may try contacting Patton (Owned by Holmes now so you may have to go through them)

If they cannot help you, try www.dtvintagefans.org There's collectors there that may have parts fans that they may be willing to sell a blade.

Alternatively, you may try Grainger, as they sell an assortment of blades. You will need to match a blade to your motor though, which should be fairly easy as the Patton fans use a common McMillan motor which most attic fans also use.

Looking to replace Patton fan motor, model 1010mp, style TJ74SP

If you are up to disassembling your motor, you will find a thermal cutout near the windings which frequently fails open. Replacements are readily available, or just jumper it out. If the bearings are shot or the windings burned you're out of luck. Trust me, a new motor will cost more than a whole new fan.

Fan blade for a U2-20

I have a metal blade for the Patton U2-20 fan listed on ebay. The item number is 160273949463 and the listing ends on Wednesday August 27 at 10.00 p.m. I had this fan for 8 years and the motor has failed. Patton could not replace the motor since this is a discontinued item, and I figured that someone could use another blade for their fan. I hope this helps you!
