Question about Sharp LC-20S1U 20 in. LCD EDTV

No Sound On Some Channels

We've had this TV for a few years with no problems. All of a sudden, the sound is completely gone on two of the channels. Our other TVs have sound on these two channels, so that rules out this being a "cable issue". Any suggestions?

Hi, We have a Panasonic Viera Plasma TV. The TV was on when all of a sudden we heard a few clicking noises and then the picture was lost and a 'no signal' message was displayed. We tried other channels...

It sounds like you have taken the steps to isolate the problem to the TV. it seems to be a bad tuner on the Main board. The no signal displayed indicates the TV is otherwise okay. If you have a DVD player or other source you can connect, and you get a picture, then your TV has a bad tuner for sure.

I have a insignia ns-lcd37-09 tv.The screen suddenly turned green.I can here sound but no picture.can you help?

Change input device to some other which you know works for sure. If problem persists, try changing the channel. If you notice same problem, this may need attention by a qualified service technician.

I have a panasonic viera tv that we've had for a few years. Suddenly tonight its developed a severe, green ghosting - on all channels as well as when we play a DVD

My first guess would be your Zustain boards. Zustain boards are what control the picture on your TV. This TV has two a left and a right. If you can figure out which one you can always replace both. You would need the actual part numbers from the boards to order them. You can find parts for this TV at

Frozen picture on LG LCD 37"

Try One of your working TVS and connect it to your cable outlet of the TV that is having problems. If that TV Does not work then there may be a degraded fitting or the Leg coming of the splitter to that outlet could have a Low Signal Problem
Next Take the First TV that was not working properly and put it on the cable outlet of one of the TVs that is working properly and if the TV set works on that Channel then you know it is not your TV that it must be the cable

Not really. Repairs are right about $150 - $250. Resistor Kit, Caps., maybe other parts, and labor charges.
