When I do the auto search for channels, it only does up to channel 125, however I have over 200 channels and I cant record on a channel higher than 125. What am I doing wrong. It will not let me put in the channel number any higher that 125. I followed the book step by step am I missing something? Help
At a guess the device will only find channels it can detect. So what is your connection antenna or cable If antenna then all TV is line of sight and directional If cable - only the channel's the cable co supply will come down the wire.

you can't the amount of channels a dvd, vcr,or tv can select is a function of the tuner, if teh tuner will only accept 125 channels Back in the late 80''s and early 90's when basic cable was expanding and the cabel ready vcr's were just coming out with the auto search tuners they were only 125 channels total if you wanted to pick up the extra channels that cable was putting up in the higher numbers ie (above channel cable channel 45 I belive it was) you had to buy a VCR or TV that had a 181 channel cable ready tuner built in it. Now with satlite and digital cable if you want to record anything higher than what your VCR, or DVD will recive you will have to use the line inputs and record that way from your cable box or through a stereo amp that will let you take the audio off and the video off and put them through teh line inputs of your burner.
