Question about Dell XPS 200 PC Desktop
Recently overheats and turns off when I burn movies after may 30 to 45 mins?It shuts off on me and when I restart it says themal reasons
I would suggest opening the side of the case and removing any dust or debris thoroughly with a can of compressed air.
Often times this is caused simply by dust.
After this. I would make sure all your connections are good, and start the machine with the side panel off of the case. Notice if any fans are making a "whining" or "hissing" noise. Also, if any fans are spinning slowly, or alternating speed dramatically enough to actually see the change.
If any of these issues are present I would suggest replacing the fan. A local computer shop would have one cheapest, but if you need to large corp. electronic stores may carry them.
