In order to use your audio device or to hear sounds from your pc/laptop, you need to install the audio driver for it.
Usually, the drivers comes when you bought your pc/laptop.

I have reinstall the windows xp prof to my hp laptop. wen i play music no sounds. wat should i do?

The reason you dont have any sound is that the sound card on your Laptop needs a driver to work normally again, There is usually a website where you can download the drivers from the manufacturer of your laptop for example : dell, compaq.. just reply with the model of your computer and i can help you find the necessary drivers for the sound.
Cheers !!!

No audio output installed

it is missing the driver for the sound device hardware, you will need to first find out what brand name of device it is, than go to that manu. web site and download the driver manually. its really not that difficult to do or you can try a driver scanner, i reccommend driver detective, from uniblue software, don't give up.
