Question about Premiere Ranges P36S328BP Stainless Steel Gas Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Premier Pro•Series 36" Model P36S318BP

I have the above gas range. When cleaning it, I replaced the knobs, and to my surprise, all 3 of the electronic ignitors starting to flicker. I've turned off the circuit breaker, and turned it back on...still all three igniters come one. There is no gas coming out of any burner...don't know what to do!

Sounds like you have shorted out the ignitor module and you may need to replace it. Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, believe it's a bad potentiometer on the two left extra low burners. The other four use a micro switch that you can hear click when you turn the knob. My problem is can't figure out how to remove control panel.

Oven pilot comes on but oven will not lite, burners work

The reason the oven ogniter will come on yet their is no heat in the oven is because that igniter is weak and not drawing the proper power to allow the gas valve to open. By replacing the oven igniter it will open the gas valve and once again heat the oven.

Premier 30 inch gas stove oven does not light

do you hear any clicking when you try to start the oven portion of the range? if not lets try this, open the lower drawer so you can see the burner bar and mechanism for lighting the bake bar. as your watching the mechanism turn on the oven (nothing should happen as per your issue) while oven is on try lighting one of the top burners, any one will do wanna check if that lites the spark and in turn lites the oven pilot.if that does infact work you have a bad spark switch for the oven control
