The WRTG54G doesn't have a print server built in... it's not designed to do this. If you need to have a networked printer, you'll have to either get a print server or connect it to your PC and setup print sharing.

Please what kind of wireless dongle do i need to get to connect my Ricoh MPC 3503 wireless and how do i connect it

Just a router and use the same network on both device. Once you had set up the router, you're printer must connect to the router via WiFi, and whenever you want to print anything, make sure that the computer is also connected to that same router. You must have your printer already configured with the computer, otherwise it won't work.

Need router number

First, see if you can access the diagnostics on your wireless router as the administrator, so you can change things if you want. Usually, this is done through a wired connected computer to the router. Most routers have the IP address access of 192.168.0.1 to get in there.
From that point, you want to look for the wireless (WAN) settings for the router, and you may either specify the IP, or make it auto-connect. Either way, make sure you have some sort of wireless encryption security, with a secure password you set-up.
On your printer, you will probably have to specify the router IP, and make sure it auto-connects IP on the printer (unless you prefer to specify it). You'll also need the encryption password to establish the initial connection.
Some newer printers and routers have a button that can be pressed to make connecting them easier. However, you may still want to make sure you have good encryption on your wireless router. Many people make this common mistake, and end up losing a lot of valuable information and unknowingly give out their account numbers, passwords, etc.
Move cautiously with wireless connections, and always make them secure.

I cannot work out how to connect my printer with my d-link DIR-655 router. When I take the printer USB out of my computer and plug it in to the USB port on the router, I cannot print from mycomputer. I...

Hi,

You cannot set the printer up directly on the router as the router needs to have a driver to understand how to use the printer. If you have a wireless printer, you need to enter a wireless key on the printer, you'll have to do that from the printer interface (you didn't list your printer model so i'm not sure how exactly you do that). On my wireless printer there is a nice network setup menu on the touch screen display.

Then you have to install the full drivers for the printer and tell it the printer is connected wirelessly and it looks for it and finds its IP address and allows you to connect to it.

If you do not have a wireless printer, and need to print wirelessly, you will need to buy a print server.

Connecting a wireless router to Mac

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Wirless Printer won"t network with the router

Check your wireless security settings and make sure the mac address of your printer is allowed to connect to the router. In addition, I would set my printer to only allow incoming connections from the router or you will have people driving by, printing ads that you probably will not like.

Set up 2 wireless routers, 1st for printer, 2nd for internet

You should only need one wireless router for everything. The purpose of the router is to "route" multiple devices together. Your set-up should be something like this:

Modem connected to wireless router via Ethernet cable.
Wireless router broadcasting wireless internet connection.
Computer(s) connected to wireless router via cable or wireless adapter.
Computer with network printer sharing enabled.
Turn on wireless printer.
You should be able to detect the printer via Windows.

Printer not found

if your printer is a dedicated network printer and connected to the router, then make sure sharing is enabled and that your router is set to enable DHCP which should give your printer an ip address automatically. But if the printer is not a network printer, and is only connected to one of your pc's, then you will have to go to the printer properties in printers and faxes folder and ensure that it is set as shared, remembering the pc it is attached to has to be on
