What type of screw goes into the annular buffer of a Stihl 046 chainsaw?

Anywhere from 150-200 psi

What do you mean "it keeps going" ? Breaking? Melting?

Assuming you have the right length chain and its not just running out of adjustment, it would then probably be a stripped or snapped chain adjuster. Can be coursed when the bar nuts aren't dun up before starting to cut, the force of the chain saw will snap an adjuster no problems. If its striped it might smear like its adjusting in but when it gets to a point it will just stop

HI, thake offthe air filter housing and you will probably find the linkage has becom diisconnected. Just put the th link back through the hole on the carb choke lever.

turn the saw upside down, there is a flat head screw adjuster that is accessible from underneath (the bar side of the saw) it will have a + and - sign near it.

check the seals on the crankshaft for a leak and the ignition module for a loss of spark as it warms up.

I am a Stihl mechanic. The proper starting procedure is to set the switch to full choke. Pull the starter rope no more than three times.Now raise the switch up one notch and pull it till it starts. Stihl products will flood if pulled more than three times with the choke on. Thanks, George
