Do not know how to install to cable box tv

Connecting this up will be easy. What you do is get a yourself a set of the right, for your setup, cables. That uses EITHER one of the formats, of these described, below. You will need, either, a THREE way Cable, or three separate " Coaxial Cored" Cables with RCA PLUGS on them. ColoredYellow, (Video) Red, & White. (Audio) AV. OR If you have SCARTConnection Sockets, it's a big Black Socket at rear of unit(s), you get aSCART Cable.& It's all inside. Now some units, use a standard calledComponent Video, that uses, a Green, Red, & Blue Plugs. Now, with the Component setup, you will also ,need, Two more Cables, for the AV Audio. these are, Red & White.(So with Component Video there are 5 Cables/Plugs in all). In any event ALL Cables go Color to Color, at each end, plugging into the corresponding Colored RCA Jacks, on either machine, or VCR or TV. Now if you have SCART, then it simply plugs in only one way. It is that simple. So connect up with the leads your set uses, and select the correct "Input" from TV/Remote, it is NOT on a "Channel" it will be on AV, AUX, and Press "Play" on VCR/DVD whatever.... should be all go.

I do not have a manual, how do I hook this dvd to the tv? I have one cord with yellow, red and white connections, cannot make it work. Thank you

If your dvd player is a high definition player you will need to connect your dvd to your unit with YPbPr connector cables. the come with 5 or 6 jacks (red, green, blue, yellow, white) (sometimes you may find and extra red jack do not plug the 2nd red jack in. Ground it so that way it's not touching any of the other input jacks). Change your input source whenever you go to use your dvd player or turn your auto source on. You can retrieve a manual from your tv's manufacturer website. It will be available for download.

I have a new element hdtv and a magnavox dvd/vcr. i can't seem to hook the two together. please help

Greetings, Simple hookup would be connecting analog output from DVD/VCR player to your TV. To do this, use the Audio-Video cable which has 3 terminals at both the ends and each terminal has RED,YELLOW and WHITE pin. Your DVD/VCR player would have analog output socket where you would connect one end of these 3 pins, make sure yellow would go in "VIDEO Out, WHITE would go in "LEFT Audio Out" and RED would go in "RIGHT Audio Out", you can easily identify them cause these sockes would also have the colors on them. Now connect other end of the cables to TV, this would be input to your tv. On the back left hand side of the TV, you would see 3 sockes with YELOW, WHITE and RED colors. These are located between "Coaxial" and "S Video" labels. Connect yellow pin to yellow socket which is "Video In", connect RED pin to RED socket and White to white. Switch on the TV, play any dvd on your player. On your TV remote, press INPUT button which is located on the right hand side top corner on remote, press it and if you get the dvd player video and audio, you should repeat the button press to see the video, this button selectes one by one signals given to TV, so your dvd player input might be on the 2nd,3rd or 4th press, so go through till you get the video signals. Hope this helps !!! --Sandy.

Cant hook it up

This unit does not have a standard coax cable (screw on) connection for and output..

You must use RCA or component video cables to attach to your television.
red and white is the audio left and right respectively and yellow is video. This unit also has S-video outlet for video. It also has what is called component video which is Red Green and Blue or maybe labeled YPbPr.
Depending on the inputs on the back of your television you may be able to connect in a variety of ways.

I ahve a hdtv and a vcr how do I connect all three together and a diagram, please, Thanks joe

i dont know how to make a diagram but i will give the best instructions
make sure you follow these instructions so you will take advantage of your tv best possible picture if you hook it up some other way you will not get that great a picture
sat cable
coax from wall to box-use a hdmi cable only no other cable its pure digital connect to the out section on box and in section on tv
if dvd has hdmi out from dvd to in on tv the same as step one if dvd does not have hdmi then you will use commponent cables red green blue for picture and red and white for audio out from dvd to in on tv
since you cant record hd on vcr you will just hook it up with yellow red and white (composite cables)out from vcr to in on tv.
if done any other way it may work but not digital and not best picture available to you

Vcr and DVD combo for my television

The manuals and an FAQ for connection questions are available from Philips website (they do Maganvox as well).

Make sure you have a Red, white, yellow (A/V Composite) cable going from thsi unit to input of TV. If you are using coaxial (F-connector or "screw-in") cable going from this unit to TV, make sure you have an RF modulator between dvd and TV, or you may have problems.

Hd tv to vcr

What model and manufacturer DVD/VCR combo are you using. if it has a HDMI port, you should buy a HDMI cable to your combo player than to your HDTV (most don't have this High Definition port.) 6f3606c.jpg
otherwise, it probably contains a composite port, connect the red to the red (Left) white to white (mono) and yellow to yellow (Video) than connect the wires to the matching port on your HDTV) then switch the input to AV or Composite. 9701d83.jpgb5e3eb0.jpg

If this fails, you need a coaxial cable.85dec5e.jpgconnect a coaxial cable to your player then to the coaxial port on your tv. change the input to "either Coaxial, Cable 3 or any input that sets it to coaxial input.
