My wd external hard drive cant be read by my windows xp or my windows vista computers the only thing that does read it is my ps3
Try reformating it with windows operating system. then you can partition it with your ps3 system.

The most likely reason you cannot see your hard drive on your
Windows computer but can on your Mac, is that the drive has been formatted for
GPT which is only supported on Windows Vista or 7 or above, not on XP.
