Forwarding emails using Outlook 2003 Professional

I have been using Outlook 2003 pro edition on my XP machine for several years and starting a few months ago whenever I get an email that I want to forward to someone else it gets ''stuck'' in the oputbox and will not send. Anyone know how to fix this?

Yes this box is checked. Like I said, it has been working fine for years and just recently this started happening. I called my ISP and they claim it is an Outlook problem but naturally they can't tell specifically what the problem is; just that they believe it is an Oulook problem. Like I said - it is oONLY when forwarding an email that comes in from person A and I am trying to forward it person B. If it is a new message that I create it works just fine as it always has...

Strange. Have you installed any new anti-virus software lately? Just wonder if one of the email settings on it may be causing the problem.

    One thing to check:

    Go to Tools>Options>Mail Setup tab.

Look for the box that says "Send immediately when connected".

Make sure the box is checked.

I use Outlook 2003 and sometimes have a similar problem with messages I forward.
It only happens though with messages I receive in an account that is not my default account and which configuration (SMTP server, security, etc.) is different from the default account's.
And it happens because Outlook forwards messages from the email account the message was received, not from the default email account.
So if you have different accounts configured in Outlook, you might want to check the SMTP servers and security configurations of email accounts other the than default account (which seems to be OK since you can send emails).
You can also direct Outlook to send your forward messages from your default account and not the account the resent message was addressed to.
Hope this helps.

You must save (Export) the Express files as .pst files and then import them into Outlookk 2003 using the Import command.
The Import and Export functions can be found under the File tabs for Express and 2003.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

This issue may occur if you deploy Outlook 2003 with the Microsoft Office 2003 Custom Installation Wizard and specify a personal folder (.pst) file in the Windows Installer transform (MST file) by using the Default location for PST files path option. The problem occurs because you specify a file name instead of a folder path.

To resolve this issue for future installations of Office, use the Custom Installation Wizard to edit the MST file. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Change Office User Settings page (page 10 of 24), expand Microsoft Outlook 2003, expand Miscellaneous, and then click PST Settings.
  2. In the right pane, double-click Default location for PST files, and then type the path that you want in the Default location for PST files box. For example, type %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\.
  3. Click OK, and then follow the steps to complete the wizard. When you have corrected the MST file, deploy Office by using the correct MST file.
To resolve this issue for an existing installation of Outlook that is experiencing this problem, specify the .pst file by using the Mail icon in Control Panel.

Or If you are receiving and Err like
Error message when you start Outlook: "Unable to open the Outlook window," "No profile has been created," or "The list of Profiles cannot be loaded"Follow the step's below:This issue may occur on a computer that is running Windows XP if the Outlook.exe file was configured to open with the Windows program compatibility mode setting. When you set compatibility for Outlook to Windows 95 or to Windows 98/Windows Millennium Edition, Outlook displays this error message. This is because the location of the Outlook Profile information in the registry differs on a Windows XP-based computer.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Locate Outlook.exe.

Outlook.exe is typically located in one of the following folders, depending on the version of Outlook that you are running:
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 11
    • Microsoft Outlook 2002 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10
    • Microsoft Outlook 2000 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 9
  2. Right-click Outlook.exe, and then click Properties.
  3. On the Compatibility tab, click to clear the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Try to start Outlook. If you receive error message again, use Method 2.

Assuming that you have the original CD-ROMs, with license-key, for Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Edition, available at your finger-tips:

Click: Start
Click: Control Panel
Click: Add/Remove Programs

Remove Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Edition.

Restart your computer.

Use the CD-ROMs, and re-install Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Edition.

How to Synchronise yahoo mail in MS Outlook 2003

The problem is that in order to use Yahoo email on a Outlook, POP3 or HTTP, Yahoo asks you to get Yahoo Mail Plus. They are forcing you to pay for 19.99 a year to be allowed a POP3 account to use for your Outlook 2003 and mail forwarding.

I've tried several methods, even trying HTTP: mail.yahoo.com

Ive even used software that said it would allow this. But no luck.

POP3 is only provided and activated by YAHOO when you pay for the yearly subcription.

Sorry. Thats really the only solution there is to this because yahoo controls their services to every user.

I hope this helps.
