How to get the glass front back on oven door of Whirlpool range

I'm having a problem getting the glass back on the oven door of my Whirlpool range #RF377PXGQ0. I took the door apart partially to clean grease that had built up behind the glass. While trying to get the glass back into the frame, I broke one of the tabs on the bottom of the vertical pieces. I purchased the entire assembly kit, but am hesitant to attempt reassembly for fear of breaking the new part (they're very expensive for what you get). I struggled with that door for hours to no avail before finally calling it quits. I've since bought the new part - the whole assembly - but fear breaking the part again. Any advice on how to deal with aligning and deal with tension on the clips?

We have the same problem with a different model RF38SPXEN0. Broke the tabs, and couldn't remember if the vertical pieces went inside or outside the glass. I thought they went outside, but it was physically impossible to put them in that way.

Ok. Heres what I was dealing with....Dissasembled. NOW (after you scrubbed everything to your liking try this.
1: With the door laying "oven" surface down on a flat surface. Gently place glass sheet/pane down squaring it up evenly as you can.
2: (Might sound strange) Grab the door handle and reposition it where it needs to go and slide the glass in the "ledges". Even everything up square as possible. Insert screws(2), but do NOT tighten all the way.
3: Now you have 2 (L & R) uprights. Insert "handle" end of uprights first, then align carefully the "tips" into the holes, and then snug the oven handle screws.
4: Carefully align the metal "base" channel/seat with the glass so the window/glass seats on the bases slots/shelves. Align all holes and insert screws (4 - 2 screws on both sides of base), finally align the center screw and tighten snug.
5: Replace door on Range Unit ande get cookin again!!

Hope this helps. I think its a poor design to let anything inside the door. Nice Range/Oven unit. Just a bad door design in my opinion.

Oh Yeah. The door hinges only took me 4 months to figure it has built in hinge locks. THEY are VERY convenient and once you know how they work. They are an AWSSOME invention for what they do!!

Can't put door glass back in Whirlpool RF396LXE2 range

The answer is not as hard as it seems. I just tried for 10 minutes unsuccessfully to put the glass back in the two side tracks. Well the glass actually goes in front of them, the top holds the glass in place.
