Howdy Roach,

That clicking sound you hear is the board in its' death throws. It's gotta be replaced. Here's the part number... wr55x10656. You can pick one up if you have a local appliance parts retailer, or you can plug the part number into a search engine and go price shopping.

The board is a snap to replace. UNPLUG THE FRIDGE! Then remove the panel that covers the board. If you look closely, you'll see that the board is "snapped" into place by 4 plastic "stand-off's". There's a tiny little peg on each of these... simultaneously depress the the peg and pull on that section of the board to release it. Do all 4 and you'll have the board in hand. Now remove all the wire bundles from each of the points of connection. Don't worry, they only fit one way so connecting them to the new board is fool-proof.

All ya gotta do now is connect the wires to the new board, snap the board in place and button it up. (Don't forget to connect that "flying" green ground wire to the panel!) That's it! The board is done. I'd highly recommend plugging your fridge into a quality surge protector, though (to keep this from happening again). The one I install is the Surge Cube, by Belkin. I get 'em at Home Depot on the extension cord aisle. The reason I use this one is that when it "clamps" a V Spike, it automatically resets! This is important for a fridge wouldn't you agree?

Let me know how it goes, OK? And don't forget to rate this solution.

I have a Coleman AC that won't turn on. Worked yesterday, just clicking now.

The clicking is probably a circuit board failure. The circuit board has a "micro-relay(s) that have a clicking sound. Normally its just a CLICK and the unit will start or compressor will start. So if yours is clicking this tells me its a micro-relay not making connection and continually trying to. If you have someone handy, have them inspect the board for burnt or damaged terminals or solders.

I just replaced my circulation pump on my hot tub and now all I get is a clicking sound when I power up the tub the display works fine

That clicking sound you are hearing is probably coming from the relay on the circuit board.
The issue may not be with the circ pump but rather the circuit board.
Most of the time a customer will replace the circuit board because it has gone out but the circuit board will go out most of the time because one of the pumps or heater causes the relay on the board to go out hence once the put the new circuit board in the pump or heater now doesn't work. This is because that item was having a problem and caused the circuit board to go out.

Sounds like the circuit board is a good suspect.
Sometimes a resoldering of compoment leads will fix things.
You can also replace the circuit traces with individual wires

Sounds like you have already done a good trouble shoot, so I hope this info helps you get back in action

Disconnect the power cord (or switched power off) and wait an hour or two until compressor has cooled. When you now switch the power on, the clicking is heard only once and compressor starts (weak noice and vibration noticed). When compressor gets warmed, the compressor will stop and clicking starts again (clicking comes from electric circuits when compressor is switched off and on repeatedly, but it will not start because it has stucked - this is typical fault in old compressors said maintenance expert to me). Buy a new fridge.

Lanier Transcriber unit will not play

Most likley it is a bad motor or a broken belt. There is a seperate motor or FF and Rewind.. If the motor is bad it is likly that the motor control circuit board is bad also (motor shorts and takes out the board also). If there is no "click" when play is selected it could be the play solenoid is dirty and not engaging. I have repaired thousand of these units through the years and in spite of these issues they were a great sounding unit.

BTW this is true for the VW-210, VW-260, p-139 and simular units.
