Can you tell me if your operating system is Windows XP. when it shows the windows screen is it the "boot up screen" showing and returns to the same thing?
You need the Windows XP installation disk place it in the CD and restart the machine.
It will boot up so allow it to go through the motion as if to install go right through until it cannot go any further press "R" for console select 1 c:\windows then type chkdsk /p windows will fix itself dont forget to remove the disk after it finishes you should be up and running. Im sorry I was a bit late I have just woken and its five in the morning down here.

Yes it is Windows XP. And yes, it is the boot up screen that comes up over and over. I would more than appreciate your help. Many thanks. :)
Is there a solution #2 Master Paeroa???
Thank you for the response! But I have one more question, I really need to know if everything I had on my hard drive will be lost? I had important documents and even more so pictures I did not get developed on paper of my father who passed away last year, are these going to be lost ? is there anyway I can retrieve these?? Thats what I am more concerned about is the lost data. Thank you again so much for your feedback and help.
