Question about Canon PowerShot SD100 / IXUS II Digital Camera
Posted on Jul 23, 2008
I had an issue with mine and i contacted cannon and they fixed my 4 year old for free and the shipping was free. whatever the malfunction was it was in a few models so they were all covered. my camera would only show a white fuzz looking thing and it would take and store that same thing for a picture.

Agree that it's probably a bad CCD. However, there's a good chance Canon will fix this fre under warranty. Go to their website for details. It's not a normal failure.

It's sounding like a bad ccd imager, could be a connection problem however. if it is the imager it will most like cost more than it's worth to get it fixed. $200 to $250 ballpark.
