Go to;

Click on the diagrams in the left-hand side. This will show how the cabinet comes apart. You can print these out. The Cabinet diagram will show how to disassemble the cabinet and the Backsplash, blower & motor diagram will show the belt location.

Thier should be 5/16 screws all around the backing. First unplug it. You'll also have to remove the vent. But i am curious to know which bearing it is. good luck.

How to put the belt on

You need to remove the drum in order to replace the belt so that you can inspect and grease the rear bearing. Once the belt is around the drum and you know the glides and rear bearing is in order you make sure the belt is not twisted. You move the idler to the right and run the belt over the top of it and under the motor pulley.

How to get into the machine:

Note: westinghouse frigidaire gibson and kelvanator dryers are all basically the same.

Whats the torque on the rear spin bearing on the outer hub on a whirlpool duet sport ht, model number WFW8500SR00, THANKS SO MUCH

i assume the bearing is connected to a belt drive. if so its more important to get the tension on the belt first , to prevent unesssecary wear on bearings, and i believe it would be the same tension that you would have on the alternator belt of a car.

My chevy 2000 malibu is shredding through its serpintine belt ive replaced the tension pulley and the power steering pulley and bought and replaced a belt what else can be wrong one of the pulleys i think...

Yes that is very likely it. Since you changed the belt, you should know - Is it the tensioner pulley ? Otherwise it is probably the water pump. The problem is the bearings.. If the bearings are locking up, the resistance will shred the belt quickly.. the part needs to be replaced is the bearings. Waterpump bearings are built in to pump. Change whole thing. (may need to transfer the pulley)

Have a bosch tumble dryer need to know how to fit the belt that holds the drum

Remove the top cover by removing the screws at the back of the machine and sliding the cover off forwards. Now you need to obtain access to the complete circumference of the drum to fit the belt. Depending on your machine you can either remove the front of the dryer, or release the rear bearing support so that you can slide the new belt over the drum and under the bearing retainer, which may entail removing the back cover as well. The belt then just slips over the motor pulley and you need to check on the belt tension, usually done by adjusting the motor or the tensioner.

Belt came off

before you attempt to reinstall check the tensioner for this belt. There is a reason for the belt to come off
The pulley where the belt slips onto may have a flat spot on it or a worn bearing

You need to pull the machine out from the wall and remove the back panel. This will give you access to the belt drives. It sounds as if the belt has either snapped or slipped off the pulleys. Be aware you may also have a bearing problem on the motor which has caused the belt to come off in the first place.

Hope this helps.

Dryer bearing

you need to oinstall the bearing little ball and bearing first then install the drum and belt the last thing is to rinstall the 3 screws inside the back of the drum to the bearing this is the easy way rather than tryingto get the bearing in the scoket while on the drum
