Question about Xerox DocuColor 12 Color Copier

What types of damage can be incurred in moving this type of copier

We need to move a Xerox Docucolor 12 five blocks from our old office to our new office. Xerox wants to charge us $1,000 to move. What can get damaged on the inside from moving the copier that would justify the $1,000.00.

There are components that can be damaged.
The customer is usually offered a you move we move price.
If you place a service call to tear down the machine, the tech should come in and prep and wrap the machine for the move.
Once it is at the new location and you are ready for it call for the tech to come in and reassemble.
the should take no more than 1 to 1 1/2 hours on each end.
As long as your mover is OK with moving the machine this is the most cost effective way to move it.
I usually recommend you place both the tear down and the set up service calls at the same time. this should reduce down time as your call set up call will already be in the system.

Hope this is of some help

Hi,
If you moved the printer, make sure the conections from the printer to the Fiery are secure. If loose the prints will be black but when copying will be fine.

Click "support and drives"
then in the product name box, Type DC12
Then any line click support
IN the search box type "spots" and read the relevant solution.

Docucolor-12 10-389 CODE

That is a fuser jam indication.

  1. Clear the Paper Jam and Obstructions in the Machine

  2. Make Sure the Paper is the Correct Size, Type, Weight, and Orientation

  3. Make Sure the Paper Supply Setting Matches the Type of Paper Loaded in the Paper Tray

  4. Load the Paper Trays Correctly

  5. Fan the Paper, Turn the Paper Over and Reload the Tray
If the above are all correct, you may just have a small piece of paper stuck on a sensor. Just has to be a small piece of paper directly on one of those. Also see if a sensor flag is dislodged. A sensor may be bad but not likely
