Re: acer aspire 3680 speaker and headphones no sound

Gee you have two them and theyre only a year old one would think they had warranty? For two machines to clap out with a chip problem is highly suspious ie on a technician say so. I dont blame you for not being impressed. Are you sure its not a driver problem. Could you be a bit more specific as tothe problem or causes of your problem gee two of them highly improbable but yet not not impossible I suspect. Its got to be a software orblem. Not a hardware. I would hate to get your hopes up but investigate before you leap into the fire "and get burnt" go here and find your country ask them for support and also tell them your predicament! good luck

Trouble with Headphones output ...

If the sound comes and goes like that and you aren't using any strange software that changes these settings (like Skype), then your soundcard is most likely dying on you. I've seen this happen on several Acer-laptops.

Cannot hear sounds through headphones

if you are able to hear normally from the speakers and not from the headphones possible reasons could be:
the audio is muted or very low
there is a mute switch on the headphone that is turned on
the headphone is not firmly plugged in or is in the wrong site eg microphone
hope it helps
please inform if it helps..

No sound when headphones cabel is into laptop

If you are using Windows Vista, the solution might be that you have to go into your control settings, and set your headphones as your default speakers. This is a one-time deal, and once you do it once, then your computer should auto detect when you are using them after this.

Acer Aspire 3680 - No headphone sound

I have had the same problem with my acer aspire 3680. I have been trying different things, and have found one thing that works for me. When I shut the computer down I unplug my speakers first. When I start the computer I wait until the computer starts completely then I plug my speakers in. This has been working for about a week for me with no headphone jack problems at all. Hope this helps someone.
