Question about LG Washing Machines
Cant see where it is coming from, maybe from behind the tub as a
reultof a build up of sediment that dries? Or is it some sort of
rubber? Itlooks like seaweed and breaks up all over the new wsah!
help. I also cant figure out how to take out the barrel?
You do have a build-up of sediment between the inner and outer drum sides of your machine. To remove the barrel firstly remove the top cover of the machine . You will find either one or two plasic inserts on the side of the control panel.... remove such and you will get to the screws keeping the top in front...loosen them and also two at the rear of the machine. Do not remove the wiring, simply suspend the top in a hanging position towards the rear of the machine. Now you will see 4 screws retaining the splash cover... remove screws and cover. [ make yourself now a nice cup of cofee ]
Lookink into the barrel you will see a removable plastic insert...remove it as well as the bolt below it. You can now remove the aggitator. Once removed loosen the big nut with a long extension and wiggle the barrel loose and pull it up and out. Clean the sediment and assemble everything making sure the big centre nut is tight.
