Hello Maurice
questions like this really need to model number of model name. Doro make lots of flip phones. There are various ideas here in the links below.
Remove battery to reset.
Your data usage is exceeded.
The text wasn't sent.
Envelope usually indicated a text message. Usually, if you have unread text messages your little envelope will have a number one or number two, etc in red on it.
You will need to go to your text message icon to open your text message screen.. It might be called *Inbox* but it's not email only text or SMS messages.
for sending text messages : 1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct 2. call to your network operator customer care 3. request the message center number... 4.note it down 5. go to message settings>message center number 6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

this solves your messaging problem ... Good luck
Normally, the red spot on an envelope in the sent
messages means that your text has not been delivered to the destination
phone number the text was sent to.
In some other phones like some nokia phones, there will be an exclamation point "!" on the
envelope of the failed delivery sent message.
A message may fail
to be delivered due to a number of reasons, like network errors,
invalid phone number or if the number is off, or the message has
expired (a message expires if it is not delivered within a period of 24
hours).
You may try to resend the message that has failed to be sent.
most probably you have disabled the CLI thing. In which your cell tries
to prevent your number being shown to the person you are calling. It is usually under Network settings, or Call settings (CLI/Show my number/Send my Number).
try entering the (+) plus sign and the country code then the mobile number / editing the numbers of your contacts. such as, a mobile number alone (depending on the sim) that reads as 09178943874 must be edited as +639178943874 (noting that +63 is the country code).
May be the service centre number has been changed to know the service centre number try getting some one else phone with the same sim and check the number. the number is in "message set up" then go to "text message" then check the service centre number.
Give it a soft reboot i.e. remove the battery while the phone is powered up and leave disconnected for approx. 30seconds. Reinsert the battery and it should all be fine. Ive jsut had this problem on mine and its fixed now, plays the alert and shows up on the mian screen.
Go to a phone number in your address book that has a 7 in it. Edit the number and press the settings button. Go to copy text and go over to the seven and press start button. Highlight the 7 and copy it. When it ask you for security press settings then paste where seven needs to go.
