Measure the time for two or three shutdowns. If they are all the same, you have a timer set into the software somewhere. I am not sure about your exact piece of hardware/software, but that is a general starting point to verify if it is a mechanical issue or not. If you are on Windows, check power in the control panel. Check the controll panel if there is a icon for the KVM switch.
