Iphone 2G stuck in headset mode= no sound

Hi, Did all the normal stuff: upgraded to software ver. 2.2.1, plugged headset in and out of the ear phone jack 100 times, backed up and reset the phone, called Apple talked w/tech, called AT&T, Went to Apple store tech deck. The tech at store said It's stuck in headset mode. I am looking for a schematic on that part of the phone.

Thanks for any pointers

My i phone 2g stuck in headphone mode.....so what can i do for it?

Some times dust and dirt get stuck int he headphone jack and make the sensor think the headset is still in the phone. If you look inside there are little metal pieces usually bronze in color some times you can take a tooth pick or a paper clip and gently press on them and get what ever is stuck in there out. If you get that to work i would suggest blowing gently into the headset jack before plugging anything in to help that from happening again. Sometimes you can take a can of compressed air and get the stuff out to. If that dose not work the jack might need to be replaced.

My Iphone can't see my headphones,Is there antthing I can do, short of sending it to be rapaired, which would probably cost more than worth, I own a original 2g

Hello,

This could be dirt problem on your headphone

Unplug the white ear buds,
2...place your lips over the headset hole,
3...and blow slowly but forcefully. Careful, don't let your frothy little mouths expel water into your dear handheld. see if it will recognize it.

Take care.
