The print solenoid cap is probably broken. They are available but a little tricky to install. Wesell them for 20.00 W/instructions and shipping.

How do I remove the door striker that is glued to the door.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are trying to replace the door striker on your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF6000ES. The door striker should only be held on with 2 screws. Take the 2 screws off and you should be able to replace the striker. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

IBM Wheelwriter 6 Typewriter - while typing, characters just quit printing on paper. Checked ribbon, machine etc. Everything checked out?? What could be the problem.

It is probably the print solenoid that has a broken cap. I have seen a few advertisers that sell the repair kit with instructions. It is fairly simple to repair.

How to put the striker from a door knob kit back together

i can help you with that...just follow this steps...
1.Remove the old doorknob by taking out the screws that hold it in. You will have to remove the striker separately by removing the screws that hold the strike plate in place on the outside edge of the door. Slide the striker out.
2.
Take the new doorknob, striker, and strike plate out of the packaging and look for the directions. (Most doorknobs are installed in the same way, but there are always exceptions.)

3.
Slide the striker bar into the hole. Insert the screws into the striker plate and tighten.

4.
ake the two halves of the doorknob, and place the one with the male end through the hole in the striker bar. Place the female side of the doorknob on the other side of the door and make sure that it lines up with the male end. Slide the two together. Screw the knob together using the two long screws that came with the doorknob. Make sure that the screws are tight. Make sure that you have the lock facing the right direction. You want the locking mechanism on the inside of the house or room.

5.
Test your work before you shut the door. Make sure that both sides of the door knob turn and the striker bar goes back and forth.

Make sure the platen (roller) is pushed down all the way. It must lock.
Also, see if the ribbon is feeding properly, characters should be evenly spaced on the ribbon. Other possible causes ..solenoid pad or selection plate, neither of which you can do yourself.

The striker appears not to strike the Daisy wheel letters firm enough to produce a dark and clear letter. Many times the result is a letter not fully printed and it appears to be lighter along the left...

Please check the ink ribbon. There are two types of ribbons. The plastic one can be used once and if you try it the second time then there is no guarantee that all letters will appear fine and legible. (as may be happening in your case). The other is the cloth ribbon. This can be reused and it keeps fading as you keep repeating it. But in this case all letters are faded and nor selective.

Nakajima ae-710 does not give a clear print. I suspect the striker pin. How do I lubricate it?

You should not have to lubricate the "striker"....type some characters then remove the ribbon cassette and see if the characters are spaced properly or are typing on top of each other on the carbon ribbon. You may have put the machine into a "multi-strike" mode....you can get a manual at www.nadist.com

There is a solenoid that hits the hammer when a key is pressed. There is a plastic spacer on the solenoid plunger that falls apart and keeps the plunger from hitting the hammer. Therefore it looks and sounds like it is working but no letters appear on the paper. Try to find a typewriter repairman to fix it. It is a common problem on wheelwriters so any repairman should know what part is needed.
