when mechanism pops out to eject, wait until it completly comes out, deattache battery immediately, and Pull lever as per below mentioned picture. Cassette door will be open and place cassette. Close it and attache the battery. Camera is ready to Record or Playback.

I once tried that with a very small soldering iron after noticing there was a tiny blob of solder on the window conductor. It did not really work well as the heat burned the window conductor somewhat.
So now you can get electrically conductive "wire glue". Here it is in Oz where I am
and Amazon sells it. This stuff also looks good
