when mechanism pops out to eject, wait until it completly comes out, deattache battery immediately, and Pull lever as per below mentioned picture. Cassette door will be open and place cassette. Close it and attache the battery. Camera is ready to Record or Playback.

SOURCE: rear defroster wire is disconnected. Any ideas how to fix it? Was told to get a flat tab and wire glue. Will this work?

I once tried that with a very small soldering iron after noticing there was a tiny blob of solder on the window conductor. It did not really work well as the heat burned the window conductor somewhat.

So now you can get electrically conductive "wire glue". Here it is in Oz where I am

and Amazon sells it. This stuff also looks good

I have a cut 2-3in. in the iner blader (hull) of a Sevylor Colorado? Best way of repairing this ? Thanks

alrigth, for fast repair, i would use tuck tape( the red one) if you d'ont have anything else. you can also use an old bike tire tube, cut it open and take the piece you need to cover the entire cut and a little more. you want to use contact glue to make it work, to use the glue, put the glue on each pieces on the side you want to glue together. wait for about five minute(let it dry) in the meanwhile ,put the tube (the part that has the cut) on something flat, put the two covered glue surfaces together, put someting flat on top of it (just like a big sandwich) and put some wheigth on top of that, wait for 30 min and it should be repaired

On the bottom of the camera there is the area where you slide open and put the batteries in. The little "door" that slides open broke apart and I can't keep the door closed. Can you buy that...

I doubt it, but you could just tape it shut. You might contact Kodak but like I said, not much change for a part like that, you might be able to purchase the case but pretty expensive and probaby very difficult to install the guts into. if you have all the parts to the door, you might be able to glue it back together.

My rear view mirror broke while i was adjusting it to see my son in the back seat, it broke the plastic and i used a bonding glue that the nam gave me at the hardware store I got it on on but when i went...

Use a razor blade scraper. These work the best for removing the glue.Be very careful.Go to a part store and ask for the adhesive for repairing rear view mirrors. It comes in a kit with the cleaner and the glue and instructions. You have to remove the mounting piece from the mirror and clean it also.Make sure you put the mounting piece on correctly or you will have to remove it again and it won`t be easy.Use a piece of tape for a mark on the out side of the windshield before you remove the glue from the inside so you know where the mirror was mounted.Follow the instructions carefully and this will take care of your problem.Auto Zone has this in stock.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I have several 30+ year old recordings. Sound quality is fine BUT a few of these tapes have come off the hub and need to be re-attached. Any suggestions ? john30662@yahoo.com

its sounds like you have the real FUNK (the good stuff) music...

John, if you still have the casing for these little cassettes I will tell you how to roll these tapes back onto the hub. you will need some crazy glue and a tiny phillip screw driver...its operation time, unscrew the 1st tape that is off the hub..when you open it make sure that tiny metal w/cotton pad is intack now the tape is already off the hub right (take the hub and push side ways that small piece on wheel like...now straighten out the tape on the other side of you...put 1/4 or 1/8 of in onto the hub ..do not try to snap the tiny piece back in, slide it in sideway on top tape..once this done ...no tape is sticking out right...place the tape through its slots (so it can run smooth) we about to put it back together make sure the metal w/ cotton pad is still in its place.... screw it back together (crazy glue is only for the tapes casing that dont have screws or that cracked)....now continue the process for the rest,,,,yes I have done the same process for micro / regular cassettes/ VHS and the those 8's. like me I still have my tapes too but a suggestion its a little time consuming but you should either put these tapes on portable hard drive (500 gig) or burn it to CD...

hope this helpful

I need to take the inside part out where the tape goes I found 2 tape guides are broke hoping I can super glue to fix camera

The tape guides are usually adjustable and the height of the tape guides is critical to the head alignment so before super glueing be sure the height is set.

what happens with these grand amsare that the windows have whats called a sash glued to the bottom side of the window, and bolts to the regulator. it has one for each track of the regulator. one of them has broke or the glue came loose. the window must be removed, and id the sash is broke you can buy a replacement from the dealership. and urethane it on. run a tape line on the glue edges as a guide then remove old glue glass prime and urethane back on. sashes are not expensive I've replaced many

Olympus XD60 Microcassette

If the tape has ripped from the wheel itself then you can glue it back to the wheel with a good strong glue (I'd recommend araldite), or if the tape has ripped you can use sellotape to fasten the two sections back together.

I believe this cassette is moulded plastic so what you will need to do is carefully break it apart along the central seam to access and repair the tape itself, then use your strong glue to glue it back up after the repair is done. You have to be really careful dong this so as to not get glue inside the tape itself and gum up the mechanism.

Finally make sure you leave it to set properly before you try and play it (refer to the glue packet), for araldite I think its 24 hours. Also if you use glueto stick the tape back to the wheel make sure that is set before you reassemble the cassette or your wheel will get jammed.
