If the belt is a thin V belt I have found that a good hardware store will have large O rings that make a sutable replacement the original are no longre made.

I need a belt for my sears david bradley roto tiller, model # 785.50571

There are three different belts for that model. I am guessing you need the drive belt which is an A-A33K - 1/2" x 35 size belt.

785.50571 Tiller DIM A&I

3114 1/2 x 17 A-A15

9440M 1/2 x 19 A-A17
J2350 Drive 1/2 x 35 A-A33K

The above information was taken directly from a Sears parts list which has a list of all belts needed. You can find this belt online at many tractor supply websites or a TSC (Tractor Supply Company) if they have one in your neighborhood. The average price is $8.00

The link for the page I mentioned above is http://www.rcweidmark.com/uploads/Lawn%20and%20Garden%20Belts/sears.pdf

Hope this helps. Thanks :)

I recently bought a Sears electric typewriter from a thrift store, I don't know the make but the model number is 161. 53201. Everything seems to work fine and it turns on, but when I hit the keys nothing...

Remove the case ... look for a motor ... look for a drive belt ... my guess (I am not familiar with this particular model) is the drive belt is missing or the motor cant start.

Good luck with your project and thanks for your quesiton.

iF THIS IS A THIN v BELT OR A ROUND BELT YOU CAN REPLACE IT WITH A

If this a thin V belt or a round belt you can replace it with long "O" ring from a good hardware store. If it is a flat or or toothed belt you are in trouble.
