My washer machine, it does not spin, just make a noice

Hello,

What your experiencing with the noise and your washer not spinning,sounds very typical of a broken motor coupler..that style washer uses a coupler that directly couples the motor to the tranmission to make the washer spin& agitate. It uses that coupler instead of a belt,and its very common for the coupler to break. OIts very easy to replace..this youtube video will show you stepby step how to take apart the washer and replace the coupler.
The part number for that coupler is 285753A it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;
searspartsdirect.com
apdepot.com
repairclinic.com
apwagner.com
partselect.com

Washer will not aggitate or spin. It makes an odd noise and sounds like something internal is spinning and rattling.

The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it.Here is a link to the part.

Roper washer RAX4232PQO doesn't agitate or spin

It sounds like you may have a broken motor coupling. This is a common problem that usually occurs through normal wear and tear. Replacement couplers are more resilient and resist breaking much better. If the washer will fill, will not agitate or spin, but will still drain, these are the symptoms of a broken motor coupling. The accompanying noise of the motor engaging and a rattling/grinding sound is also a common symptom. This is a very simple and inexpensive repair. The following link explains step-by-step how to replace one:

The part number is included in the link I provided. You can purchase a replacement on line at appliancepartspros.com for about $11.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Roper is manufactured by Whirlpool and uses Whirlpool parts, so these instructions will apply.

My washer wont spin

Your symptoms that indicates a broken motor coupler. If your washer will drain and fill but has not agitation action or spinning action that would indicate a broken motor coupler. The motor coupler links the drive motor to the transmission.
