Is this when you log on as any user--including Administrator--of just one user, and is this a limited user account?

If you have a cd that came with the computer if its vista or xp your running you can always put the cd in and use system restore to restore your computer to a earlier time or when you start the computer up there should be a button you can press, it tells you on the screen to start system recovery from there you can use system restore to restore it maybe restoring it to a earlier time will help or you could try going into safe mode and using system restore just some options you can try

Satellite a105-s4284 powers on and goes through boot successfully for about 1 minute then does a hard shutdown

I'm sure you have reseated/replaced the Memory mods? Have you thoroughly cleaned the fan, vents, heatsink? Have you done ANY hardware updates? Graphics? If you boot to Safe Mode any change? Have you tried a System Restore? Try another Cord/Charger with the Exact same power specs. Try removing battery and boot.

Satellite A105-s1014 i cant log on,have any ideea what might be?

3 things:
You got bit by the WPA check (Windows Protection) and it IS telling you your copy is invalid and you need to re-register it (VDDUndo virus does this) - So does pirated SW that eventually shows up on two machines

You changed Hardware or Chip and your 'configuration' is invalid and windows cannot start and tries again and again but you cannot see it b/c it is so fast. Start in SAFE mode (F8 while booting) and select Do not auto restart on error or Enable Debugging) and you can trap that and it will freeze where it fails

Your configuration changed and one or more drivers are invalid, conflicting or just plain not right for the 'discovered' hardware. Start in SAFE mode, run START, Run and type compmngt.msc, open drivers and DEL and YELLOW or RED flagged items you see, then restart and WIN will discover, rearrange and reinstall them again.

May take 5-6 auto reboots, you may hae to do it 2-3x. If it 'hangs' Just power off (Press and hold Power button)

Hope that helps!

My Toshiba Satelite A105-S4211 wont log in

I recently ran into a computer doing this.

Try what jmagnu said, hopefully it will work for you (safe mode didn't help me).

I basically had to remove the hard drive from the computer, install it into another computer and run a ton of virus, malware, spyware scans on the drive.

I used a combination of AVG, superantispyware, malwarebyte's malware remover, hijackthis, ccleaner, and a few others who's names escape me.

Best of luck :)

Windows xp wont advance beyond the xp screen. It wont advance to the log in screen. I have tryed to boot in safe mode and adjust it to boot up with my recovery disc but the same thing happens.

try F8 again into safe mode, but this time select, last known good configuraion and reboot. If still no change, i suspect there is a problem with the boot.ini file, so only a repair of the system files using the XP cd can repair this, you will need to set your cdrom drive as first boot device in the cmos settings (f2 or Del on boot up)
