I have a SHARP AQUOS LC-C5262U yesterday night when i turned it on there was a yellow box with the letter k in it upper right section the volume also went weird jumps from 0-30-60? please belp
The TV needs to be reset with the Factory Initialization. Try contacting Sharp at 1-800-327-4277 for instructions.
Most likely the LC sound control is blown and must be replaced.
I had this problem as well guys. Just found a fix thought i'd share.

simply went into menu>setup>reset . This will perform a factory
reset, and you shouldn't have that K or the volume problem anymore.
I tried all the fixes involving volume- input- nothing worked. I tried volume- ch- but that K never changed colours.
It all came down to a simple menu option reset.

have LC-32GD8E and blue box top left of screeen and volume jumps 0-30-60. can get rid of K by freezing then unfreezing but volume a problem still
have sharp 32" LCD tv HAVE VOLUME PROBLEM. Goes from 0 to 30 to 60 and thats it with no adjustment in between. Also the DTV does not work when go to set up and auto installation and depress ok....nothing

j'ai le même problème sur mon LDC LC-46XL1 avec ce message "K 46 RTW111"; je ne reçois aucune chaine et je ne peux régler le volume que sur 0 - 31 - 68.
The letter does not show up at all after hitting 'enter' as do all the following letters. I think this is causing errors in Password. Why isn't the Capital Letter showing up?
