Hello, I would like my pictures to have a white background. When I take the picture on a white background the background ends up looking gray. I am taking pictures of baby clothing and I want the clothing...

Exposure meters are designed on the premise that the scene is an average, middle gray, in brightness. If you take a picture of a white dog playing in the snow, the camera will try to make the picture come out middle gray (a gray dog playing in gray snow). If you take a picture of a black cat sitting on black asphalt, the camera will try to make the picture come out middle gray (a gray cat sitting on gray ground).

If the white background is dominating the scene, the camera will reduce exposure to try to make the entire scene come out middle gray. The solution is to meter on something else. Move in close and fill the frame with the subject, press the AE-LOCK button, then move back, compose the picture, and take the shot. For full details, refer to the "Shooting with the exposure locked --- AE-LOCK" section in the manual (page 52 in my copy).

If you're taking a lot of pictures, you might want to switch to Manual mode and set the exposure accordingly.

I have inserted my 4GB memory card into the slot as indicated. I still can take only 23 shots before it says the memory is full. What dit I do wrong?

Sounds like you're taking pictures in the internal memory. Try this, remove the card and try to play back pictures on your camera. If they play back, then they're on the internal memory. You can transfer them to your computer if you want to save them. Then, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Download any pictures from the memory card and then, format it in the camera.

Blank screen

Try this...if you can still get into the setup menu, scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions. If not, remove the memory card and battery...press all the buttons...leave the camera alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. Did that help?

CANON POWER SHOT SD750 DOESNT TAKE PICTURES BLACK SCREEN

DON'T DUMP YOUR CAMERA JUST YET! I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE SOME INFORMATION ON YOUR CAMERA AND SOME THINGS FOR YOU TO TRY. FIRST YOUR CAMERA SITE SAYS THERE IS A SWITCH ON THE BACK SIDE OF YOUR CAMERA THAT SAYS " DISP " WHICH I ASSUME MEANS DISPLAY. PLEASE TRY PUSHING THIS BUTTON AND SEEING IF THIS WORKS? NEXT YOU NEED TO TRY TO REST YOUR CAMERA. THAT IS DONE BY GOING TO SETUP>CHOOSE RESET> HOLD DOWN MENU KEY FOR 5 SECONDS AND SEE IF THAT SOLVES THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT SOLUTION MIGHT BE THAT THE CAMERA FIRMWARE MAY NEED TO BE RELOADED TO RESET THE CAMERA TO FACTORY DEFAULTS. I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF THINGS, BUT THEY REALLY DON'T HAVE A SIMPLE ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217. GOOD LUCK!

It only shows a black screen

I was having the black screen problem intermittently (of course when you really want to take a picture quickly). I downloaded v1.1 of the firmware from olympus (via the Olympus Master 2 program) and the black screen problem has not reoccurred yet. Hasn't been tested over a long period of time yet, but that seemed to fix it.

Sony F55 Recorded Display

The filename (e.g. DSC0012.jpg) shows the image number, the filespec shows the date and time recorded. Most software will give you document info about resolution of the image. I wouldn't worry about what the battery status was when the shot was taken or how many other images were on the Mstick. I guess I'm not sure what you need.

Pentax Optio 555 LCD screen blank problem

No I don't believe it is your shutter, more than likely it is a LCD Screen problem. I would suggest you take your camera back to the shop where you purchased the camera and have it serviced under warranty. I had a customer with an Optio 550 come in and it looked like every shot was taken through 'venetian blinds' and the problem was with the LCD Screen and the camera was sent back to Pentax and repaired under warranty.
