Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

WHIRLPOOL FRONT LOADING WASHER MODEL #GHW9460PL0

AT TIMES WHEN I TRY TO START THE WASHER IT WILL JUST KEEP MAKING A CLICKING SOUND. AT OTHER TIMES IT WILL START BUT 1/2 WAY THRU THE CYCLE THE LETTER F COMES UP.
IF WE TAP THE TOP OF THE WASHER, USUALLY IT WILL START. WHEN IT DOES IT 1/2 WAY THRU THE CYCLE I HAVE TO HIT PAUSE AND WHEN I HIT START IT JUST KEEPS CLICKING. I WILL TURN THE DIAL FROM NORMAL LOAD TO ANOTHER SETTING AND TURN IT BACK AND PUSH THE START BUTTON AND MOST OF THE TIME IT TAKES CARE OF IT. I AM THINKING IT IS THE CIRCUIT BOARD THAT THERE IS NOT GOOD CONTACT. WE BOUGHT THE DUET 4 YRS AGO.

I have a Sears front load made by Whirlpool. It had a problem locking door. I replaced latch/switch assembly and still would not work. Took top of washer off 3 or 4 screws on back of machine lift up lid and slide back. Make sure washer is unplugged. Presto you can see wiring and control. Unplugged connectors on control and plugged them back in then tried washer and it works.

How to Level a Whirlpool Top Loading Washer.

If you are experiencing consistent off-balance load issues with your Whirlpool top loading washer, it may be caused by a simple problem of needing to reset the auto-level mechanism and making sure the front feet are properly level. This advice may save you a service call and restore an unbalanced washer to running condition.

The rear feet on Whirlpool manufactured top loaders have an auto-leveling mechanism that you can easily reset yourself. Just follow these steps:

1. With the wash tub empty, open the washer lid and grasp the rim of the tub opening (do not grab the tub).

2. Now place one of your feet at the base of the washer along the front of the washer to keep it from moving.

3. Now pull the washer towards you so the rear feet lift off the floor a couple of inches. You should hear a clicking sound as the rear feet auto-level.

4. Carefully set the washer back down (do not slam it) and the rear of the washer should now be level.

Using a level, check the washer front to back and side to side to make sure it is level in all directions.

If you need to adjust the washer washer front feet, carefully lift the front of the washer and turn the feet to either adjust them up or down. The slightest difference can cause excessive vibration on the final spin. Check by placing your hands at opposite corners on top of the washer (diagonally - one on the rear, one on the front) and try rocking the washer to see if it moves. If the washer wobbles, you need to readjust.

This advice is for all Whirlpool manufactured top loaders with a direct-drive system such as Kenmore, Estate, Kelvinator, Roper, and Frigidaire. If in doubt, please post your MODEL NUMBER when submitting questions, so that I can determine if your washer is configured with this feature.

This does NOT include the Oasis, Cabrio or Calypso models.

I hope everyone finds this information helpful.

Error code dl f , washer won't start . Has a clicking sound in rear.

This is a door latch failure. I have had the door latch replaced on my machine two times for this. Unfortunately, I know of no solution for it. Try "slamming" the door. Sometimes this will jar it and it will latch. I was able to keep mine working a little longer the second time before replacing the latch by doing this. It is very frustrating, and I am not happy with this machine. I have had a lot of trouble with it.

Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer Won't Turn On

MY WASHER WAS DOING BASICALLY THE SAME THING. I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL FRONT LOADER MODEL #GHW9460PL0. MY HUBBY REMOVED THE 3 SCREWS FROM THE BACK OF THE WASHER, UNPLUG IT FIRST, AND TOOK THE TOP OFF. WE THEN CAREFULLY UNPLUG THE WIRES AND REPLUGGED THEM BACK IN 1 BY 1 SO U WONT GET THEM MIXED UP. WE THEN TRYED IT, AND THE CONTROL LOCKED LITE STAYED LIT. HE HELD THE SIGNAL CYCLE BUTTON IN FOR 3 SECONDS AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. WE THEN TRYED RUNNING A CYCLE AND SO FAR SO GOOD!! GOOD LUCK!

Whirlpool front load washer LHW0050PQ often will not start

Unplug the washer for 10 min. This will reboot the circiut board. Select one cycle. Selecting too many cyles in a short period or pushing too many buttons in a short period can overwelm the little brain in the board.

It is saying there is a problem with your door Lock. when you close the door does it hold like it use too? try to open and close the door if it doesn't really close properly then you will just need a door latch. If the machine gives you an f11 code then its the main computer board that can also give your the door lock error. I would check the door first though.
