Question about Car Audio & Video
We purchased a jensen awm970 stereo to relace an existing stereo in a 5th wheel trailer. We've just about gotten all of the wiring figured out and hooked up, but there is a pink wire from the jensen stereo marked trigger. Not sure what it is or where to connect it.
I'm not familiar with that particular model number, trigger is generally used for: external amplifier turn on, or power antenna turn on (though standard wire codes for trigger for most brands are blue and or blue with white stripe). I expect it is for amp turn on ... if everything else is working as expected ... tape up any exposed metal on the wire and forget it.

A trigger is a electrical pulse that can be used to make a motor turn on. for example you may want a drop down screen to automaticly come down when the stereo is powered on or a tv to flip out of the wall. The trigger does not need to be used. hope this helps.
