Question about RCA 24F512T 24" TV
I have an RCA TruFlat 20F512T 20", and I've had it for over 2 years. Suddenly, while it was on, it said "ECP Lock" or something close to that, and then turned itself off. The red standby light is on, and the TV is plugged in. I have tried unplugging it for various lengths of time hoping it will reset itself, I've tried holding down the on button, and opening up the menu, but nothing has worked so far and it just will not turn on at all. And I have no remote control for it. Someone please help me!
You may have had a power supply issue occur. The overcurrent circuit may have turned you TV set off to protect components from damage. If you have a background in electronics you might be able to fix this problem if not take the set to an authorized shop. Get a schematic open up the set and look for the Horizontal output transsistor and read the voltages on it leads and compare them to the schematic voltages. Then check the Integrated High Voltage Transformer for shorted turns, if you know how to ring test a transformer plese do so at this point. Also check the voltages on the main power supply and compare them to the schematic. Please contact me with an update.
