I can't get my printer hp 5510 to print anything for the computer, checked all plugs and tried to print a test page from the service properties but I can't get anything to print other than a copy

It is possible that the printer driver software is corrupt . So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.

1. Remove all of the paper loaded in the main input tray.

2. Press the power button to turn off the HP fax product.

3. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the HP fax product.

4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the HP fax product and from the electrical
outlet, and then wait one minute.

5. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.

6. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the HP fax product.

7. Press the power button to turn on the HP fax product.

8. Reconnect the USB cable to the back of the HP fax product.

9. Replace the paper in the main input tray.

10. Use the HP Fax Test Service to try to send and receive a fax.

Hp 5510 printer/copier/fax/scanner will not print docs. The paper goes through but nothing is on the paper. Tried to print test page, same result. I've checked the cartridge - not empty. Haven't used the...


It sounds like the jets on your cartridge is plugged. I have unplugged some cartridges by soaking the jets in alcohol. I pour some alcohol in a shallow dish and set the cartridge in it with printing jets down. Leave it for 5-10 minutes. If the jets start to unclog you will see the ink discolor the alcohol.

Be careful when wiping off the ink jets so you don't damage them. Use a soft cloth. Try the cartridge and see if it prints. If you need to soak it longer.

If you use your printer occasionally, it might be that the print head on the cartridges is clogged. I don't know what was serviced, but if your cartridges haven't been printing for a while, that is surely your problem. You can try this:
  1. Try cleaning the print cartridge from the Maintenance utility by following the steps below:
    1. On the all-in-one front panel, press Setup (or Menu) repeatedly until "Maintenance " displays, then press Enter .
    2. When "Clean Cartridges " displays, press Enter .
    3. At the end of the cartridge cleaning cycle, a page will print. Examine the page to determine if the problem is corrected.
  2. If the problem still exists, clean the cartridge following the directions below in the "Clean under the cartridges and the carriage " section below.
  3. Verify that the ink cartridge is not low on ink by checking the estimated ink levels as indicated in the "Colors on printout are wrong or fade in and out while printing " section above.
  4. Replace the print cartridge for the color that is not printing correctly.

First Check the Hardware connections
1) Check the power connection
2) check the USB Connection

Second Check the Software connectivity and Drivers
1) Checked by click Start
2) click Control Panel
3)
then double-click Printers and Faxes
4) The Printers and Faxes folder opens
5) Look for a black check mark next to the product icon
6) Right-click the icon for your product and then click Properties . The printer Properties window opens.
7) Click the Ports tab.
8) Look for view the Ports column to the left.
9) There should be a check mark next to the DOT4 port or the USB00?
10)
under the Printer column - make sure the product listed matches your product.
11) Restart the computer, and then try the print job again.


Try printing the TEST Page - Ctrl+P - go to printer preferences and print a test page

The printer can not print any paper


First of all we need to check weather it's a hard ware problem or software so try to copy something or press a self test page by pressing the x button and the colour copy button together if that prints fine then it means that its a software issue now click on the start button go to control panel then open printers right click on printers and go to properties print test page from there if it prints a blank page then go to the advance tab of properties and go to print processor then select "winprint" and in next line select RAW now try to print
if still the same then check the operating system if its windows Xp then it should be service pack 1 and above if you do not have service pack download the windows xp service and install it now try to print if still the problem persist then please post the exact model number of the printer and the operating system on your computer

HP PSC 1610 All-in-One not printing anything including test page


try this.. i got the same problem before.. and the main problem is the NO MECH MODE.. try pressing the setup button then take the plug out of your printer.. (still pressing the setup button) and put the plug back.. and it will remove the no mech mode.. then you could print like before.. i hope this helps

Hi..
The service error refers to an hardware issue with the printer.. U can try the following step,if this didnt resolve the issue only option is servicing.

1. Unplug printer.
2. Press and hold SYMBOLS & ENTER/MENU.
3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you plug back in the printer, through the entire
power-on sequence.
4. When display reads PERMANENT STORAGE INITIALIZE or HP LASERJET 3200
release the buttons.
