SOURCE: I'm trying to set the times on a paragon amf 7 day timer

There should be 2 trippers for each day, the trippers slide on the outside of the dial and would point to the time of day you want your lights on and off. The silver trippers may be gone on that aged time clock, but are easily obtainable.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#troubleshoot

You want to control each light with different programming?
Westek TE05 timer is single-channel timer, so different lights cannot be controlled by different programs.

You need a two-channel timer so each light can come on at different times.

Zilla timers are two-channel timers: yellow outlets for daytime, and blue outlets for nighttime.

The manual does not help. I'm obviously not understanding them correctly. I need step by step...all I want to do is have my lights come on from 7 pm to midnight every day of the week..they are not...

There is no repair for defective timer.
Sounds like the timer could have a conflicting program.

1) Good idea to test outlet with cheap circuit analyzer to make sure electric outlet is not causing problems for timer electronics.

2) Press reset button on timer face using toothpick to Re-set the timer
This will clear programming and then timer is ready to start over.
You can unplug timer from outlet while programming timer, so buttons and display are easy to see.

3) Open following link for clearly written instructions:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-program-Utilitec-0155671.html

4) I suggest setting timer program1 ON at 7:00pm, and choose all-days-of-week
And then set program1 OFF for 11:59pm all-days-of-week
Setting to 11:59 pm instead of 12:00 may solve problem.

5) Open following link for Kitchler manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Kitchler-15558WH-timer.pdf

6) If timer will not program correctly, and electric circuit is clean, then timer is defective.
This timer has 1 year limited warranty against workmanship defect.
I always suggest buying timers at local store because returns are cheaper, and if timer goes bad two years later, you can buy new timer and return defect in new package.
Kitchler is same timer as sold by Utilitec at Lowes, and Westek at Target.

Problem #1. On model #DT300 the instructions under Set Time of Day # 3 does not change the day. The only place I can get the day/s to change is under the programming. What is wrong with it. I have...

Thank you for very clear question, and timer identification.
1) I don't have repair for defective timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#DT300
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/DT300-series-manual.pdf

2) Choose DT300 format
#3 says to press-and-hold CLOCK button until display shows 24H or 12H
Then release CLOCK button.
Next press HOUR button to select either 12H or 24H
This lets you choose am-pm format -or- choose military-time format where 11pm is 23

3) Set current time
Press-and-hold CLOCK button throughout whole current time setting.
Do not release CLOCK button until current time settings are finished.
Next, press HOUR button, and then MINUTE button, and then DAYS button until current hour, minute and day display.
Then release CLOCK button.
If this step does not work, then timer has gone bad.
Replace with locally available Utilitec 155671 from Lowes or Westek TE06WHB from Target
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59377

4) How to set DT300 timer program for full week of operation.
Each program requires you to set program 1 ON time and program 1 OFF time
Be careful to avoid program conflicts and overlaps so timer works as expected.

For program 1 ON time, you press PROGRAM button until 1 and ON display.
Release Program button.
Then select hour, minute and days. In this case you want all days of week, so you keep pressing DAYs button until whole week displays: Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa Su

Then you set program 1 OFF time, you press PROGRAM button again until 1 and OFF display.
Release Program button.
Then select hour, minute and days. In this case you want all days of week, so you keep pressing DAYs button until whole week displays: Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa Su

If you set ON time for all days of week, and OFF time for Tu Tuesday, then timer will not work correctly.

5) Read manual and add a comment for additional help

I bought a utilitech three outlet outdoor timer and cannot get it to set. Now I cannot seem to find the instructions that came with it. Where can I download the instructions?

I bought one also but am taking it back today as I am not satisfied with the performance and the internal battery dies losing all programming. The instructions below are word for word from the manual but not all that clear. Since I can't post the diagram from http://www.thencc.com/westinghouse/LS/Instruction/T28499_TimerManual.pdf (if I can post links here), I substituted words in the "Set Mode" section instead. This is for the Utilitech 0149289 model and also applies to the Westinghouse and Stanley equals. Good luck.
