Wesley, if you are talking about where the toilet mounts to the floor then you will have to remove the toilet and replace the toilet flange seal. There are several different types of seals and I would recommend the non-wax type. If you are talking about where the tank mounts to the toilet base there are several places where the leak could be coming from. You can buy a repair kit at most any hardware or home improvement store. There are also a variety of helpful videos on YouTube that can walk you through the process if you've never done this before. Good luck!
If its like a normal toilet there is a wax ring that might be bad/needs to be replaced. Its a cheap part.. but work to get to it... have to uninstall the toilet.
See if nuts on studs on bottom where it mounts to the floor & flange are loose. If they are loose tighten both of them evenly. If they are tight you will need to replace wax ring that is between toilet & floor.Turn off shutoff water valve to toilet. Flush once holding down handle to let tank drain. Remove both nuts & lift toilet off flange. Remove wax ring. Scrape all old wax off toilet & floor flange. Install new wax ring. Set down toilet on ring & snug nuts evenly. Sit on seat & apply your weight evenly to distribute wax & level. Retighten nuts. Turn water back on. Allow tank to refill. Flush toilet & check for leaks.
Either wax ring or sewage pipe is leaking. If you cant open the ceiling from below to look for leak you may have to remove toilet inspect pipe and look to see if it was leaking from wax ring and if it could have gone downstairs without leaking out too. If leak couldn't have come from wax ring the leak must be coming from a pipe in the floor. Find the simplest way to access it to repair it.
If you tried regular sized wax rings and they failed to seal, try using a double thickness wax ring, maybe the space between the floor flange and the toilet exceeds a regular wax ring size. If the floor has been re-tiled and the floor flange was not adjusted this could be your problem, anyhow good luck!
